Destiny 2 right now. After my divorce, I got an xbox to connect with my kids when they came over and found gaming fun again. After I sucked so bad in front of my son and his friends, he lent me a few games and asked me to practice. I started with Halo and Assassins Creed. I grew up in arcades: pinball, pong, space invaders, asteroids. I never stopped. Well, I guess I did in my 30's. I have kids and can say that I'm at about a 12 year old girl level. After that, even my 13 year old daughter could beat me.

Unlikely to be the case - videogaming started to gain momentum around the early 90's. Those who were in their teens then, are in their 40s now.

47 and still play. After divorce, bought daughter her own PS3 and a headset so we could talk and play from wherever I was. Then got PS4's for both of us.

The cool thing about this is she does not get pissed with her boyfriend plays. And at 18, her and I still play together. It is a great time to talk and spend time together.

In 50's and mostly grew out of it....started with Doom on PC and video arcades (the ones you had to drive to, lol) before that.

I tried video games early on, recognized their addictive properties so I stayed away in order to concentrate on more productive activities like my studies and career.

I’m 42 and have been a gamer since my dad bought me a sears Atari in the early 80’s. I went to school for electronics and most of my professional life I spent as an arcade game technician. I even have a couple World Records in some obscure titles. I never stopped and still fire up my PS4 for a evening with Fortnite, the only action/mind game worth playing, imho.

The gaming addiction is real but keeping it as a side activity is the only way to not let it beat you.

Edit. I like Fortnite, it might suck rn or in its entirety for some folks. But, for me, it’s the only super high speed, thought based, real time strategy game. I wanna play a game I lose most of the time so it’s a challenge. It’s a great time with friends and my Duo buddy is a 12 year old kid who wants to be an engineer so I help explain all his math homework better than I was taught it, that’s the rewarding side of gaming today

Will be 50 this year. I prefer first person shooters. I still play some. PC only. I could never get hang of the console controllers. I prefer mouse and keyboard. I'm a fan of the Fallout series, not the latest multiplayer one though. I didn't even bother with that debacle. So the RPG aspect / story of the fallout series in immersive and I enjoy the wide open world and ability to explore. Paired with the first person shooter and apocalyptic theme it's a favorite.

Started with arcades in my teens. Then as an adult, playing Wolfenstein 3D distributed among friends on floppy disk. Was a huge fan of Half Life. Was sad they never finished it.

I’m 40 and was addicted to video games as a kid (NES, game boy, SEGA genesis, playstation, atari, comidore 64). I was addicted pretty bad.

Sometime around age 23 I stopped playing games completely at random. **I’m not sure if that was entirely good because I moved to a hobby that was more destructive- chasing pussy lol.

But still, I just lost interest eventually. Plus too many games began hurting my eyes after inly about 30 minutes of screen time.

Late ‘50’s here, used to play Age of Empires & a couple historical Civil War games.

Found that once I divorced, I really didn’t need that escape anymore. A loud woman drives one to find peace where one can, even a computerized battle.

Used to play. Stopped playing cause my ex said no LOL.

After divorce, I tried to get back into it but I feel that I outgrew this aspect of my life. Feel there's other things I could be doing with my time that's more rewarding.

Some people love gaming, I will play the odd arcade game from time to time.

In my late 20s, currently my game time is going down quite a bit. I'm more focused on making good money right now. There are things I want to do and places I want to see, and I can't do those things with my low-middle class income.

Gaming saved my sanity. My all time Fave is Fallout 4 (Season Pass), however. XB1.

Looking forward to a second run through --- new mission mods are looking really amazing.

I skipped Fallout 76, btw.

Mid 40's here. Probably too casual to be considered a "gamer" by some (not that great a response time in fast paced stuff), but I like RTS's and builder/exploration type games. The ones that get me hooked aren't just that, but have some puzzle aspects when it comes to process management for resources.
