There's some horror stories of female nurses online if you go look for them. Stories of them actually killing their patients, talking shit about their patients to other female nurses behind their back, treating them extremely poorly (playing with their lives, essentially). You can read plenty of them right here on Reddit. The female nature is at full-force, even in a hospital. You are never safe from it.

the bulk of nurses did it not because they care about healthcare, but because they finished undergrad with a useless degree, hated receptionist/sales work, and moved into nursing because they hate being broke as fuck.
the next largest demography is foreigners who were doctors in their countries but don't meet medical licensing requirements here to be an actual doctor. so they blow through all the nursing stuff and make way more than they'd ever dream to in their own country.

You are not wrong. I battle with smoking and I have been trying to quit for a decade. However, as was the case in the military, I can out run, lift, and beat most people in hand to hand combat that I meet in the ED.
"Future nurse" is so fucking irritating. So you took a child development course and think because you can pinch one out you will automatically be an awesome labor and delivery nurse? Most of these people cannot get past the pre-reqs.
Nursing students are insufferable. I remember candidly being talked down to by a "pre nursing" student in my child development class about pregnancy, and that I don't have a clue, as I do not bleed from my crotch once a month.
At the time I was dressed in scrubs, because I was already an LVN, an EMT-I, and taking this bullshit class to upgrade my license.
Apparently the term "as a mother" trumps basic human physiology and peer reviewed research.
