In 2017, the Rostock Criminal Police conducted a total of 78 investigations for sexual assaults against women. "63 of them were finally dropped due to justified doubts. In 15 cases, we even had to initiate proceedings against the women - for pretending to have committed a crime or for false suspicion," says investigator Britta Rabe.

The high number of false reports is becoming a problem for the police. Rabe: "Rape is probably the worst thing that can happen to a person. That's why we initially believe everyone who comes to us - and we do everything we can to solve the cases." Witness hearings, securing evidence, DNA analyses: "We lack the resources that we have to spend even on fake crimes for the real cases, for the real victims," says Liebmann.

And the investigators have another problem with the fake sexual offences: "These reports spread rapidly over the Internet and lead to the fact that people no longer feel safe for no reason". A few years ago, the police experienced what excesses this could lead to: "At that time, a vigilante was even founded in the Gehlsdorf district because we were allegedly unable to protect people. But even these deeds had been invented by a single woman." Liebmann says: "In many cases the alleged perpetrators are dark-skinned. This is how mistrust of strangers is stirred up. At worst, this can lead to marches and riots."

Rabe says about the motives of the women who pretend to be raped: "It's often a cry for help. The women want attention from their friends, family or partner. Revenge is rarely the reason". The alleged victims would hardly think about the consequences. A false suspicion can be punished with up to five years imprisonment. "But we will always help those who really became victims," says Rabe.

In the Schwerin and Westmecklenburg area, the police have been experiencing a similar phenomenon for years as in Rostock, says police spokeswoman Sophie Pawelke. And also the police headquarters Neubrandenburg - responsible for Vorpommern-Rügen and Vorpommern-Greifswald - says: "Such cases of faked rapes also exist with us". In Parchim, however, the police are looking for a man who is said to have raped a woman there. In this case, however, investigators are certain that it is a real crime."

That statistic is false the actual report was at least 2-10% are false and only about 20-40% are proven true so it could be anywhere inbetween 2% and 60% its very hard to prove a sexual assault because most women come out long after there is evidence needed to prove anything. Im NOT saying 60% are false im saying most cases are unproven of anything so the court has to throw out the case so it could be true or not

The only logical reason why someone would accuse you of "revictimizating the victim" or "victim shaming" when you simply question the conditions of their rape, is because they're covering up a lie and attacking you for getting too close. Also explains why these types of "victims" feel so much shame for so long afterwards, they're lying.

Real victims are nearly always desperate for evidence, and they describe the crime in terms of evidence, as opposed to emotion. Real victims are filled with righteous indignation or a desire for justice, or at least a craving for revenge. At no point do they feel shame, why would they? Would you?

There is NO rape culture - well, perhaps in India. But there IS a "false rape claim" culture. Women use false rape claims to control / damage/ punish men. In some cases they have destroyed lives, in some cases men who were later found innocent have killed themselves anyway.

So in the UK, in 2017, 510,000 women experienced sexual assault - apparently. If that was proven assault, that’s at least 95% of the total figure which means almost 27,000 cases were false. That’s over 70 cases a day. And it’s rising.

I highly doubt that’s even a real reflection of the actual number of false cases.
