This sums up the feminist argument perfectly; i.e., they take the top 0.1% of men who run business, economics and politics, and assume that the remaining 99.99% of men have the same power and privileges afforded to the top 0.01%.
Meanwhile me 15 years ago: living in a homeless hostel with junkies & prostitutes. Yet, I had power & privilege according to feminists.

If you dug yourself out of that station in life, according to "the woke", the only reason you were able to DO that is privilege. If you were from a "marginalized" group, you would have been unable to do that.
Collectivists, Marxists, Communists, Socialists... they all hate it when people pull themselves up by the bootstraps and work hard to better their life situation. It's even MORE problematic when people they have labelled marginalized do the exact same thing and improve their situations or, worse yet, become really successful.
(Then they claim they suffer from internalized racial or gender self-loathing).
They also hate the term "pull yourself up by the bootstraps" so I try to use it regularly! :-)

The bigoted left hate white people
But they REALLY hate black conservatives and especially those who did manage to pull themselves up from their bootstraps, like Dr Ben Carson. Guys like him are proof that leftism is nothing but race baiting bullshit. Guys like him are proof that everything about the left is just communism and nothing more.
[–]NerdyLumberjack04 1 point2 points3 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Seriously, I'd expect more White leftists to commit suicide just for the sake of having one less White person in the world.

Black, Asian and Arab conservatives are defo some of realists out there and they are growing especially in the UK.

Those who have experienced leftism in any form and wake up from the programming are the ones who oppose it the most.
Why did Florida turn red this election cycle? Because Florida has a lot of Cubans. And Cubans really hate Castro (communism). Thus when Bernie sanders openly worshipped Castro, Florida immediately turned red because of the cubans.
From my personal experience, the people who hate illegal immigrants the most... are legal immigrants.
The people who hate (naggers) and joggers the most... are law abiding, working class black people. That’s because they know that the (naggers) and joggers make the entire black race look really fucking bad.
The people who came from the Soviet Union were the ones who opposed communism the most, as they experienced first hand the destruction communism creates. Same thing with those who fled Cambodia, Venezuela, etc.
[–]KaitouNala 4 points5 points6 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Part that annoys me the most is when people are surprised when cops come at "joggers" the way they do.
Blacks are 13% of the population but are responsible for 58% of the crime. Hold on though, it's worse than that when you break it down.
90-95% of that is black males, so closer to 7.5% of the population. Of that demographic break down its males 13-40 who are most responsible for those crimes, so you can even further cut those numbers down.
Then, you have to consider that there are many many law abiding members of the black community, likely the majority sans minority.
Meaning we are talking a percent of a percent committing an astronomically high amount of crime.
However thanks to the racist left, we're not allowed to talk about that.
[–]Sid_Insidious 1 point2 points3 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Correct. "Critical Race Theory" only please. The three men stabbing you are victims of the oppression caused by the same system that gives you your privilege. Which in this case, is to be repeatedly stabbed by less privileged people. Also note that for 99.9% of people, "privilege" means busting ass in school and busting ass at work for pretty much all of their adult lives, something the men stabbing you will never worry about.
Only the "correct" questions are allowed to be even asked.
By being a member of an "oppressing" class, I personally help maintain the social class distinctions which ended up in me being stabbed. So, it's my fault I got stabbed and the real victims are the oppressed men stabbing me.
That's how absolutely fucked up people's heads are these days.

Czech guy here. It is pure desperation. We got rid off this bullshit just 30 years ago, one generation, and it is back.
It is interesting to read memoirs of people from behind the Iron curtain who fled to the "Laand of the free". Some of them went to academic positions - to find hardcore marxists there, to hear phrases that even communists in their homeland did not believe.
[–]roflcopt0rz_returns 1 point2 points3 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Communism is a cancer. If you don’t completely kill the cancer, it will always spring back up.
And that’s the problem. Every time communism fails and there’s the subsequent purge, not every communist dies in the purge. Not every literary work shilling for communism gets erased (e.g. Karl marx is not completely book burned). And then it inevitably relapses as cancer does. The idea of “I exist therefore I deserve free shit” is just too tempting for women to pass up, and with it there will always be soycuck men bending the knee to these women because of vagina.
Pandora’s box is opened and there is no way to realistically get rid of the idea of communism anymore. If you ban communism from being taught in schools, it makes the communists more brazen, for example.

I got my self out of it by teaching myself to code on a donated laptop, working for free to IT companies in return for experience, and using that experience to land a Junior Dev position. Today, Senior Developer.
In conclusion, the only thing I benefited from was sacrifice, hard work, and refusing to accept my life was going to be that way forever.

I wish you the best of luck, with a long future and success in Software Development. Tonight, I shall toast you with gin & tonic.
[–]ChampionOfAI 1 point2 points3 points 5 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link
Thanks wish you success as well. You seem to have a very good work ethic.
[–]AccomplishedAndHappy 1 point2 points3 points 5 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
I think I get my work ethic from my Dad, e.g., he would get up every day 5.30am to go to work in factories. He was never late, never took a day of sick and never complained. Even when his Mother died, he only took 1 day off work, then went straight back to work.
Later, he went to night school to train as an Electrical Engineer, and the tutors were so impressed they asked him to teach a few lessons. After qualifying, he then started working as an Electrical Engineer, so the family finally were given a better life in a nice house in a nice area, and finally we had nice things.
Dad also started teaching me things from his course e.g, how atoms work, how electrical circuits work. He even bought me a multimeter and taught me how to check and measure circuits.
Dad never told me to work hard, but it felt like seeing him do this all my life imprinted on me psychologically. I have read that only a man can bestow manliness on a boy, a woman simply cannot do it. I understand what this means now.
My Dad's now retired, we meet up when we can, and we still talk about electronics and engineering. I'm 45 and I still look up to Dad like a little boy, and still want to be like him.

So true. We inspire more by our actions than by words of advice.
[–]GYOWAndy 9 points10 points11 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Turns out those that are "oppressed" are either unmotivated or uneducated in the ways of how to live. You keep feeding one a fish, they will never learn to fish.
If the Negro in the ghetto must eternally be fed by the hand that pushes him into the ghetto, he will never become strong enough to get out of the ghetto. - Carter Woodson
And another that seems more apt from the very same C. Woodson:
If you can control a man's thinking you do not have to worry about his action. When you determine what a man shall think you do not have to concern yourself about what he will do. If you make a man feel that he is inferior, you do not have to compel him to accept an inferior status, for he will seek it himself. If you make a man think that he is justly an outcast, you do not have to order him to the back door. He will go without being told; and if there is no back door, his very nature will demand one.
Never be inferior.
[–]meegtower 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Fun fact, this saying originally meant "to pull yourself out from a bad situation by impossible means" since, you know, you literally can't pull yourself up (as in, defy gravity) just by pulling your bootstraps. But you know, men regularly accomplished the impossible anyway. So feminists decided that the only reason these cis white men do the impossible anyway is because they're privileged. I hope I don't have to explain how that's fucking stupid.
[–]Sid_Insidious 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Well, what guys in STEM fields do for the betterment of society might look like miracle work to the sorts of people who have a bank-card to their trust fund and are Googling "ways I am oppressed" on their $1200 i-phone...
Or maybe they just take it all for granted. Like it's just "someone's job" to put that stuff there, and pay for it too.
Yeah, it's the last one.

what are you talking about, we love the AOC type of story. lefties love it when working people pull themselves up into prosperity. we'd like to make it easier to do that
[–]crowexplorer 8 points9 points10 points 5 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link
It already is easy. We live in the information age, and ANYONE can acquire a specialized skill set, then work hard to have a successful career, OR start their own enterprise.
When we start to listen to lefties, and tax(penalize) people who have a successful career or their own enterprise, and giving that money to people who play video games all day, we dis-incentivize success.
[+]Breakfast_in_America -8 points-7 points-6 points 5 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
I've always considered myself left because I think a ton of the progressive ideas would help working people get out of poverty. If you had universal healthcare you wouldnt need to stay employed by someone else to keep your family insured, for example. I think starting a business should be piss easy and incentivized with low or no taxes while maintaining a billion dollar business should be costly in taxes so the burden is eased for the new and small businesses and other working people who currently carry the heaviest tax burden. Working people are my people and I would consider myself on the left. I just didn't want Sid's strawman to go unchallenged, we LOVE when working people do well
[–]crowexplorer 6 points7 points8 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Redistributing money from the rich to the poor sounds nice in theory, but in practice big business just moves to a country where they're not going to be taxed to oblivion, or have to pay their workers $50,000 a year + full benefits to do basic low skilled labor.
And any big businesses that don't move operations overseas, end up going bankrupt because their overseas competitors can sell the same item for far less money.
Yeah, you might say "i'll only buy products from american manufacturers" , lots of people say that, but we know when you go to walmart for a new phone charger, you're not going to buy the $20 american made one, you're going to buy the $4.99 "made in China" phone charger.
Yes, capitalism creates some super-rich folks, and it isn't fair. But every attempt to "make things fair" just stifles the economy overall, a rising tide really does raise all ships, there's a reason so many people want to get into this country.
That being said, I'm all for NO TAXES of small businesses. That sounds great. Better yet, their should be no income tax, just a flat national sales tax. Think about it, the uber-rich will pay the most money. Frugal folks like myself will pay very little.
[–]Breakfast_in_America -4 points-3 points-2 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
I don't have a lot of time to debate the bigger picture stuff you're talking about but i just wanted to say i like the sales tax only idea. The more you spend the more you pay so if you want a yacht or other status crap you have to throw yourself into a higher tax bracket. Maybe also tax capital gains. But money earned through labor is all yours. That's a cool idea. This is the kind of stuff we should be reaching across the aisle for. I want to work with everyone (right and left) to make things more fair for the people actually putting in work everyday. Have a great day friend

[–]Breakfast_in_America 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link
I didn't say you were, but read the comments on any given post here. If you cant tell it leans right i don't know what to tell ya. Try thinking harder!
So, you admit that I did not say I was conservative, yet you assumed (without probability or evidence) that I was conservative, because I stated a fact about AOC?
I think you're the one who needs to think harder mate.
[–]Breakfast_in_America 3 points4 points5 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Oh I see. You may be right.
[–]ChampionOfAI 2 points3 points4 points 5 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link
Not everyone are politiccally conservative. But as of lately even the liberals of the type of Bill Maher are accused of being conservative on many issues. So it seems left has gone far left.
Also people tend to hate the extremes, right or left. The left extremes are right now kissing AOC's ass. So she is seen as leader of leftist extremes. Implies she is a bitch to many. Also she is hypocritical, more so than others.
Also if you see, some libertarians like me respect people like Andrew Yang, who are respectable, so your assumption that MGTOW is conservative is unfounded. But you can be sure MGTOW doesnt care about politics as a philosophy.
[–]Breakfast_in_America 1 point2 points3 points 5 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
Mgtow hate feminism right? Look at the post we're commenting on. You think lib elites and fat women are attacking the nuclear family structure. Seems conservative...
[–]ChampionOfAI 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
That is true. Same like every place, there are some conservatives and some on your side. I wanted to point out that you will find men with diverese backgrounds, cultures here. You will find Muslim MGTOW as well as a Trump supporter. You cant just say MGTOW is inherently conservative. Its just a philosophy and has nothing to do with political ideology.
The reason you see some conservative posts here is: This is one of the few places on reddit the posts are rarely removed for different opinions(except if you are a woman and break sub rules). In other places these kind of posts will be removed by mods immediately. This is a sub for men with free thoughts period. You are welcome to state your opinions as well as I am.

Nope. Sorry. You may be a classic liberal but since you love people who work for a living you're clearly not doing your part to rid the world of capitalism.

Did feminists know they were founded and socially pushed by the same persons who instigates wars and have basically the power over worldwide economy.
Soros, Rockefeller, Rothschild and some others psychopaths are the true fathers of feminism, not a bunch of stupid "witches" in the XIX century.
Well, sooner or later all women will be infected with that ideology and the master plan to deconstruct society will be complete.
I see ya in the hell boys.

They do, everytime you see a high idelogical movement do a research to find where are their origins. Feminism and that BS of LGTBXYZ1234 are just another fasicist lost causes to bring down morals and the values in a traditional family.

“We are the resistance!” the left screams, as they are backed, supported, condoned, and funded by 90+% of the world’s billionaires and mega corporations and politicians and world leaders.
“You are the oppressor!” the left screams at men, as men die in wars and dangerous jobs, dragged through the coals in family courts, commit suicide, forced to do all the hard labor in the world, and blamed for all of the problems in the world.
And the left wonders why men are walking away.

He is for himself and his own interests.
Those interests are profit.
By tapping into the feminist's pathological need to avoid agency and accountability by being an eternal victim and be persecuted, he can profit.
The family is the one that suffered as a result.

It's not a conservative bald white man, it's MONEY. Or more correctly, CAPITAL. Capital is deployed to make more money and in the process is destroying the family and indeed, civilization.

I don't think so. Big businessmen want stable nuclear families, because they result in a stable economy.
Why would big businessmen want communism? Didn't work out well for big business in Cuba, Soviet Union, etc.
Politicians who want power(authoritarians) are the ones who support all these social "movements".

They are unrelenting opportunists. To them, anything which gives the most leverage makes the most sense (and they (maleable-minded) believe it).
I have just come to realize that women always were dominant. The problem we've gotten into now is that they wanted to really universalize their reign, to take every last inch of what a man ever had. What's that they say about a cornered animal?
