Last economic downturn was rough, but I made it through. It really took a lot of sacrifice and lean years to not let it derail my life plans. Since then I've built a fat emergency fund, grown my retirement, and have some cash ready to invest now that shit has tumbled. My job is looking fairly secure (literally got a raise today) and have some side income from real estate.
This downturn is looking more and more entertaining than the last one, for me at least, and the mad rush of onlyfan whoring is quite eye opening. I think most simps will quickly stop throwing their money away, because they simply won't have it. Simps throw away money at the best of times to try to impress girls (and they milk it completely out of them), they're going to pay the price now that shit's getting fucked up.

Getting in the habit of payin in cash instead on 99999 payments is quite healty. When I moved on my own, that made me certain my salary was clean. All the stuff was paid upfront and any bill payed the very day it arrived. Habits like that keep you less vulnerable to Lord Murphy's whims. I have been saving since my 1'st job in a supermarket. Sometimes deposits were low, a few coins, other times any bonus was saved in full. When a company layed me off, I had savings for a year or so. That eased my mind and let me search for a proper job. I too pay bills the day they arrive. I keep a little extra money in my checking account so I don't ever get close to 0. I haven't been late on a bill or overdrafted in over 15 years. I save as much as possible and live well well within my means.
It would be nice if the MGTOW crowd tried to be a little less about the anger phase, and a little more about maximizing their lives and security, as it sounds like you and I are all about. Not sure why you're being downvoted. 850 is the peak FICO possible. Aside from a perfect payment history, you would have to have just the right amount of available credit (not too much, not too little), and just the right amount of credit utilization (percentage of what's available that is being used). You'd also have to have just the right age of credit (which decreases when a debt is paid). Not using your credit will ding your score a little, having a little too much or too little will ding it. Paying down your loans will eventually ding it for it being under utilized (does he get a new loan every month to offset what he's paid? How does his credit get pulled for such loans if his score isn't dinged from being pulled?) I pay off my credit cards every month and my score still moves up and down a little as my credit utilization fluctuates around the perfect amount used for the bureaus.
Credit over 800 is hard to do, even with a good mix of available credit and credit utilization, with accounts with lots of history and no missed payments. Over 830 is almost impossible. Someone claiming to have 850 sounds like someone with really bad credit because they don't realize how specific their credit history would have to be to hit 850. And if their score was 850, how ridiculously anal retentive they would have to be to get it to hit that point. Finally, your score has nothing directly to do with income (aside from income making credit available to you, possibly indirectly impacting your score). I kind of think since he's bragging he's trying to imply it does.
