Finally a picture of the whole team.

And as a sidenote - the whole craze about this women is actually very damaging to the reputation of women who are actually working in STEM fields. Yes, they are rare, but they actually exist. And acting as if they alone exist and not the bazillion of male colleagues working with them is quite detrimental to their reputation.

But I must say I really don't know how this particular woman reacts to all this hype around here. Is she actively pointing out that she is only one member of a huge and almost exclusively male team and that others contributed a lot more? Sure, this work did not only consist of coding, but when I see on Github that she contributed 2.000 lines of code and one of her male colleagues 850.000, I am seeing a pattern here.

not to diminish her, i'm sure she contributed something, but i'd guess this project was 95%+ the effort of men.

the really disillusioning part for me was the other subreddits like r/videos. when the black hole pic was first posted, there was a link to her TED x talk. the comments rightfully were already full of men saying, this is dumb shit, she is one of many and is in no way the lead contributor to this project.

The SAD PART! all these comments were being downvoted to oblivion. the typical "oh here come the incels" comments were upvoted to the top and everyone was bashing on the men for not worshipping her.

she is pretty cute and young though, so i wonder how much attention she would've got if she was 45 and post wall hag? i wonder (thinking face).????
