For some it has to happen two or three times! For others it is suicide, homelessness or jail to get them to stop. It's the parable of an alcoholic looking at that first drink. Yeah, we'll see. I appreciate some of the feedback found on this sub, but a lot of it has become this really unhealthy, pessimistic belief that all women are out to rob you blind and destroy your life while bringing nothing to the table.

I get that there are a lot of men on here that have faced horrible situations at the hands of women, but it's also a vacuum. There are a lot of happily married men in this world, but none of them are coming to post in this sub.

Truth of the matter is that with how much communication takes place these days, those who would be unfaithful but lack the opportunity to do so 100 years now have it available at their fingerprints. Also, people change over time, but with all this external stimuli and endless information available at our fingertips, people change much more rapidly than ever before, causing more and more couples to grow apart. Then the social media phenomenon of most people trying to present themselves in the best possible way at all times mixed with the instant gratification need of this era, people move extremely fast in relationships with people that they don't truly know. They try to present themselves as something the other wants and vice versa, and when both these presentations match, a relationship develops quickly without it being very genuine. The truth comes out later and divorce becomes the final outcome, and in the west, divorce has become extremely slanted to greatly benefit the woman.

Find me a guy on this sub who was with a woman for 10+ years in a healthy relationship in all aspects before marrying her who then had his entire life destroyed by her. I'd guess less than 5 years of a solid but sometimes rocky relationship before marriage with some potential red flags that were overlooked or downplayed comprises 99% of the pessimists with less than 3 years being the majority of that group.
