It's like what some say around here. Doesn't matter whether it's loving, fighting, or just flat out made up drama... They just need attention period. They get bored after a while. No joke when I was married it would be quiet for a while and I'd start to think man maybe things will be ok after all.. then it would be like why haven't you taken the time to talk about our problems .. and by that she meant let's spend an hour or two where I just list everything you'd done wrong over the last 10 years and I want to hear you apologize again for the 50th time. Then or course it would be.. why don't you ever want to talk about our problems? Or course it was no different if I actually did try to take her aside and ask her how things were in the relationship.. didn't seem to get me when I said that method didn't seem to really make things better lol

Yup. That's what happened. Always planned on waiting at least a couple years but pressured me and even though I'm nornally a worrying type I threw cuation to the wind this once... Damn. Then or course I don't believe in divorce . Would think wow things getting better. Have a kid, get worse .. then oh seems like she's really trying... Another kid then I'm dog shit. Yeah. Took me 7-8 years before I started walking up and after 10 years we are finally finalizing the divorce. Feel like an idiot but all I can do is move forward. Family just saying well we are sorry you got involved with someone like that.. many times we could see it.. didn't even want to visit at times and always left upset but we love you and are praying for you etc.

You're describing my entire childhood. Dad was violent but was as angry at her as we were but he just canalized it against us with every "Stop upsetting your mother" slap across the face.
The old piece of shit loved every drop of drama she could generate, it wasn't even rare to see her grinning that ugly Grinch-like face when she saw us getting slapped. You could see that simple mind going "Victory!" because she manufactured yet another problem that resulted in her kids getting slapped and of course, the apology we were forced to give her.
Her favorites included, but not limited to : Breaking a plate by tossing it on the floor then start scream/fake cry until people came to check on her Tossing an open box of crackers, then scream/fake cry until we checked on her Lighting a piece of paper near the smoke alarm so she could fake cry about it. She learned that one from her worthless sister Claiming 5-6 days during a year a HERS. Woe is you if you forget or don't appease the infantile minded monster enough, she'd wind herself up, fake cry to dad until he reassured her we'd get put in line. Long tiring day at school? Well your day just got fucking worse because she wanted you to miss the bus so you can stay longer at her bedside.
No wonder I don't want to see her face even in pictures. All I remember of her is the constant lying and the many hundreds of hard slaps across the face from dad.
