Right now I'm reading "Genesis. The Deep Origin of Societies" by E.O. Wilson, and, even better, "Virga & Bones" by Craig Childs, one of my all-time favorite authors.

A book I can not recommend highly enough is Craig Childs', "House of Rain." Reading this book is like taking a couple of years off from work and exploring the desert southwest with a literary archeologist/philosopher. Seriously, read this book.

Just recently finished reading Seal Target Geronimo which was a good read and pretty much covers the history of Seal Team Six, Al-Qaeda and the operations leading up to raid on the Bin Laden compound.

Influence: science and practice 5th edition. Textbook, but helps understand why 97% of society stands still during horrible events, and why 3% run to help. It also helps to manipulate the 97%, classic example is the written vs verbal contract.
