I plan on saving as much as humanly possible as soon as my daughter graduates from high school and exactly 8 1/2 years I will restart all of the businesses that I had and retire at about age 62.

I honestly don't know. Currently a bit lost in life. Part of that is because I'm poor as shit. I'd like to get into guns. Target shooting, specifically. I'd like to own my own house someday. Somewhere out in the country with lots of land. Start a garden, own several pets, plenty of space to shoot targets. I would also like to get into archery. There is so much to do, but it all requires so much money. Since I'm not going to win the lottery, I guess I'll keep slaving away at work for the next decade or more.

There's a little trade school I'd like to go to, not a long program, nothing too expensive. Hopefully an internship/possible employment after that. Daydreaming about getting a YouTube channel going, planning and scheming to make it happen. But, these things are in the future. The rest of 2016 and 2017 will be about paying off debts and getting a little savings together. I used not to think too much about those aspects, but now I realize that a guy could find himself unemployed with no warning whatsoever. Gotta prepare.

Boom! That's the ticket. Once you leave the insane, success-model validation-hungry life behind you, it's just seems natural to live below your means and save, save, save. Most people are living in a mind fog and don't have shit saved as a back-up.

I started on my last career and saving path when I was in my 30's instead of my 20's, but am on-target to retire with complete freedom in 3 or 4 years at 60 or 61.

My advise to youngsters...have fun but save when times are flush and save when times are tight. Have a plan and stick to it and for God's sake, let no one knock you off your path--especially women.

I hope to invest in real estate. I'll be fully qualified and work full-time for the next five years. Hopefully by the time I'm in my thirties I'll have enough cash flow to only work part-time - if perhaps there's enough money to be made part-time I'll do it earlier. I'll either use the free time to devote to real estate or my health. If, however, I find a path to more interesting and better paying work, I'll do that.

Hopefully by the time I'm 40 I'm retirement ready. If I weren't MGTOW, 40 would be the time where I would be working to bring home the bacon to my wife and kid in an over-priced, much too big home.

I want my career to advance first and then see where I want to pour my heart and soul into. I can see myself spending time in charities or something that I find helpful.

Possibly enter the aircraft / real-estate brokering realm of things when I have some real money. Otherwise, when I burn out in my mid-thirties I wouldn't mind going into software consulting or venture capital (I have a handful of friends who are already in the industry out of college).

Hey how do you decide when you can retire? I am unsure how long I'll live or what exactly my lifestyle would be. So I've never been able to get a good idea of how much i'll need to retire. I am in my early 30's so haven't given it that much thought tbh, but I am curious how you calculated yours.

Early 40s here. I'm in a sweet spot right now, payments to my ex stop early next year. I've been keeping my income ultra low for years to minimise the payments out, so I'm gearing up to make a lot of cash between now and 50 and then retire. I'm going back into what I've always done: flip a house a year to average 30k in, have a side eBay business selling vintage electronics to get another 10k a year buying in and shipping out just a couple of items a week, and then my main job which can easily bring in 40k. While this isn't a fortune, with no mortgage and free health care here in the UK I can live comfortably on 15k a year right now so am able to stash plenty of cash from that. The beach is on my doorstep and our village pub charges £2.80 a pint, I enjoy cooking, and while I do a lot of activities with my kids it's all pretty cheap - £9 for a swim, £35 to go horseriding, free to explore the local woods, free to go for a surf.

My long-term plans are to make our current home an absolute haven. Out the front is a large woodland area and out the back is the local beach which is clean and pretty quiet so the location is great. Converting the attic for a cinema room and building a covered party area out back should happen before next summer, then the house is sorted and i'll just keep ploughing cash into the retirement fund. By 50 I plan to be fitter, richer, and ready to enjoy every day with no pressures to be earning. It will be good to have the time to dedicate to whatever my kids want to do, it never ceases to amaze me how cheap shit actually is when bill payment etc. are no longer major worries!

In the military at the moment. I plan on serving 20 years (maybe more if the career moves to a higher position then I expect) retiring from that can collecting a pension, disability pay, and my TSP (basically a 401k).

At some point in the future, I would like to purchase an apartment complex in a college town, rent out the rooms and use the rent to pay for the rest of the building, and support myself. I'll just live in one of the rooms.

That will give me a decent income, a place to stay, and I'll be "retired" at 40 ish, leaving me a good long luxurious rest of my life :)

26 - UK guy here. Most of my friends are settling down, a few with kids on the way - all content on blue pill life. Personally I dropped out of uni aged 19, and have been working a blue collar technical field engineers roll for 7 years.

I dropped by my local Royal Navy recruitment office last week, with the plan of becoming a Nuculer Marine Engineer on the UK nuclear deterrent submarines (Trident program, recently renewed).

With the go ahead from the UK government to build the new Hinkly Point nuclear station, that is local to me, I would have the option of leaving the RN after 10/15 years potentially walk into that (if it's built in time anyway...).

Honestly I have become disenfranchised with society here and I need a change of scenery and lifestyle...

The plus side, there is no safer place then 300m below the surfice, sleeping next to 8 tomahawk nuclear warheads....

I work out four times a week, and either cycle or practice Taekwondo in between.

I continue to learn and read.

I've got 3 months worth of food and water just in case, and emergency money squirreled away.

I own, work on, and regularly shoot my stable of guns, as well as instruct and teach others in firearm safety, operation and effective shooting techniques.

Not so long ago I was married, hoping to be a family man. That ended the way it always does.

Today I'm pretty much a lone wolf type. Not big on other people though I strive to be an upright and responsible citizen. Long term plan is to keep building and training in my career. Buying an acreage and settling there. Building a home, gardens, livestock areas, bee hives, and making it all very defensible.

The future is so uncertain these days. But one thing is not - conflict is coming. Every man should be doing what he can to ready himself for it - fitness, firearm skills, social skills to work effectively with your fellow citizens, as close to food self-sufficiency as you can get, financial independence and freedom from (((usury))).
