To women single men who are clearly attractive but choose to be single are seen as rebels. Men who won't stay on the plantation. Why won't he just settle down?! Not only that but as a single man with no interest in a long term relationship, there are a lot less industries that can make money off of you.

Jewelry industry=can't market to you Fashion industry=can't market to you in any meaningful way Food industry= If you hardly go out on dates, hard to spend money there.

There is almost nothing that could be done to the market that would make my life nearly impossible to survive on.

I was thinking about this the other day and I realized that a man with a wife/gf has someone to vouch for him in a way. Women/society see that a woman has accepted him and that makes people feel more comfortable about who he is. It's like he can say, "A woman chooses to be my wife/gf, so I can't be that bad." Our culture accepts a long-term bachelor if he has some sort of defect that's beyond his control and to a lesser degree if he is poor. One thing people have a hard time with is if a guy declines a woman's advances. They don't like a guy who could be with a woman but chooses not to.

In fact I think the very reason so many men rush into marriages and LTR is because they are conscious of the way in which society typically views single men and want to avoid the negative stereotypes.

I'll take it a step further:

I believe the fear of NOT BELONGING, the fear of possible loss of acceptance, possible loss of validation or being viewed as an "oddball," "outsider," etc. by the larger group is a MONSTROUS FEAR that BluePillers have been indoctrinated with and will avoid at all cost. I was there in my younger years. Strangely enough though, NO ONE talks about it! But it's there...compelling you to "get in line," "get with the program," or "man up." Once a man has the courage to INTERNALIZE uncomfortable facts and truth (finds RP, MRA then MGTOW), faces his fear of not "belonging" and learns how to seek validation and acceptance from within (instead of from others), it's amazing what happens. He suddenly realizes his fear of not "belonging" was completely unfounded, a joke, because now he understands what it feels like to be truly free, to be his own man, to take back his own identity, his manhood. He finds this incredibly empowering and wonders why he waited so long to have the courage to leave the plantation in the first place.

The real answer is social proof. If your alone or don't have many friends or haven't had many relationships the assumption is that there is something wrong with you that isn't immediately present. It's natural human behavior. It has some value, but shouldn't be deterministic on how you judge someone. I would say learn to use this to your advantage, and find a few women friends who will become your social proof. Women friends aren't terrible in doses, but they probably shouldn't be your best friends.

Because if you aren't able or are unwilling to have children, then in some sense - you aren't "fit" to exist - at least as far as the evolutionary hardwiring in people's brains is concerned. To the extent that existence is a good thing, and your physical/psychological makeup isn't deemed "fit" to be passed on - being a single man is negative - unworthy to exist - as far as Mother Nature is concerned.
