Your sexual identity or gender is not something that is a bar to going your own way.

If you want to be the best you can and focus on improving yourself then avoid any toxic relationships or controlling relationships. Because they harm your attempts at being your best. You will spend a lot of time and resources in trying to please your partner instead of improving yourself.

This isn't a mgtow perspective this is just me talking here.

I'm all for people doing their own thing, I don't have any plans to police trans people.

But I think very very few people are legit trans. And of course, I don't decide who I deem is legit trans so I take people at their word.

I think that gender dysphoria is likely to occur in people with anxiety disorders so they cling to something that makes them say "Oh now I know why I feel bad all the time"

I think that quite a lot of trans people are on the spectrum, have anxiety, and become fixated on this notion that they are trans.

I think giving a woman testosterone can irreversibly screw up her uterus, making her barren.

I think that corrective surgery hasn't put a dent in the suicide or suicide ideation of trans women (yes they are less likely to commit suicide after surgery but not by much) which means the surgery, the therapy, the hormones and the community acceptance hasn't alleviated whatever is causing the gender dysphoria.

So I'm thinking, maybe it's not gender dysphoria? Maybe it's just misdiagnosed anxiety.

Hell as a kid, I had an easy-bake oven because I loved cookies. What if someone told me that my depression and anxiety came from gender dysphoria? I might believe it, but I don't have the legs for skirts.

Also I'm talking out of my ass here because I'm kinda drunk but the few trans men that I've known have a huge chip on their shoulder, but I guess any guy would be a jerk at 5'4" and no penis lol.

What do you mean by "how do we feel about trans-men" ? The same we feel about any other man: innocent until proven guilty lol.

That being said, here are some signs that you probably belong here:

You're tired of verifying your worth through female validation.
You don't believe that its your job to make a woman happy (aka simping).
You're tired of society policing your manhood.
You're done letting society collectivize your labor.
You're prioritizing your safety.
You're prioritizing your joy.
You're prioritizing your freedom.

But what really defines MGTOW for me is whether or not you adhere to the tenants of the free agent lifestyle:

No long-term relationships.

No cohabitation.

No marriage.

Obviously this is just my opinion and do not represent mgtow in anyway. I'm great supporter of individual freedom and responsibility, I think that it's your body and you can do whatever you want with it. That said I'm against ANY kind of special treatment for trans people, I'm strongly against criminalizing people's opinion about it, be it favorable or unfavorable, even censoring people's opinion about it is a horrible thing to do, like twitter and other social media does.

Being more specific about my opinion and considering that it's you body, I think that there's no such thing as trans people, there's only XX and XY chromosomes, and pumping hormones will not change that.

Normally I don't recognize people who use the word cis. When it was developed it was pretty much because they realized they couldn't use the slur "breeder" in public. I know better, I've always read the Huffington Post and listen to NPR, if only to know what the other side is up to these days. (You may be young enough you weren't there for those conversations, but I was.)

That being said. I pretty much agree with the rest of the statements here. You are a person. Your experience and destiny is your own. If what you have read here resonates with you, then it is the same struggle. That's for you to decide.

I know a handful of gay people. I respect/like them or not like depending on their specific character. They certainly aren't like the ones I see on TV. They vote republican :) I would assume that if I ever met a trans person it would be pretty much the same.

Its the parents of young children who are allowing non-reversible surgeries and hormone treatments I have a serious problem with.

I think a lot of us wouldn't use the word oppression outside of the family court system. That's kind of a give away if you ever want to post in a neutral way, which if you are living as a man and want to relate an experience as man, you maybe should.

I mean we kind of believe in transparent mutually beneficial exchanges. Those not being available, sucks, but its not oppression. Oppression is when you can't walk away, not for when there is party you just wouldn't fit in at.

I don't forsee any problem for you on this subreddit, although you might get flak on the original one (r/mgtow), since they often express "conservative" political positions, which could contain some anti-trans stuff at times.

MGTOW is about avoiding marriage and cohabition and being cognizant of the dangers of short-and long-term relationships with women. I'm not sure how relevant that would be to you, but that's something for you to decide. As others have said, MGTOW is about individuality, going your own way.

It might be interesting to hear a trans person's perspective on women. I remember a few weeks ago, a lesbian woman asked a similar question -- basically, "am I allowed"? A gay man posted something similar, too. In each case, I had the same thought: we constantly hear straight men complaining about women; it might be nice to hear gay men or women complaining about women for a change. heh. Likewise, it might be nice to hear a trans person's perspective on the subject.

Anyhow, feel free to join in or just listen. Whatever suits you.

It's all about going your own way, i.e. doing your own thing. Having a relationship is simply at the bottom of your list of priorities.

legally, you can seemingly face the same challenges men do in regards to women, but the question is whether or not you really fear those issues or if you are more interested in MGTOW as it feels like a way to further validate your journey into trying to become a man.

Lots of people here aren't 'ideal' MGTOWs. There are gay people who hang out here, even though the issues that make men go MGTOW do not affect gay people. There are also a lot of straight incels who come here that are using it as a way to feel like they are in control. By giving up on marriage they are giving themselves the illusion of a choice, making them feel more like voluntarily celibate men instead of involuntarily celibate.

All in all, to post here, to talk about MGTOW issues or to talk about self development, you don't really need to be a cis male who fears divorce and alimony. Even a woman can post here and we likely wouldn't notice if she didn't draw attention to it, and that is what is most important here. If you can go from thread to thread and communicate with others in the same way that others do, then there really is no issue. If you're going to be the kind of person who needs to bring up that their trans all the time and try making threads about how MGTOW needs to support trans rights, then no you shouldn't post here.

On r/mens_rights for instance we had a trans poster who kept insisting that if they accept him as a man that means trans rights are now mans rights cuz hes a man and he is facing issues with his rights. That is stupid though.

All in all, if you feel like you can actually benefit from posting here and can blend in with the conversational tone, welcome. If you just want to post here to feel more validated in being a man, even if you're not disrupting the flow, you should probably examine your self. I doubt that you were excited about marrying a woman one day and then changed your mind because of alimony and other issues like that.

I think MGTOW is more of a congregation of people who have been beaten down by society and we have grown tired of trying to fit in. We are people who've been forced to play certain roles due to our birth and have come to realize the truth and decided to change. In that sense we are like trans people.

I'm not a native english speaker so I'm sorry if the way I word things are incoherent or weird.
