MGTOW is not a political movement. SOME MGTOW are conservative. Others are libertarian, still others are liberal or democratic socialist. It's even possible for someone to be a communist MGTOW, though I've never seen one. The bottom line is, marriage is a shitty deal, and that's true regardless of political philosophy.

MGTOW is apolitical. However, I noticed two very common things among the adherents:

People on the far left or far right of the political spectrum (i.e. the tradcucks & libtards-regressives) do not generally like or agree with MGTOW because "reasons". In other words, if a man is somewhere on the political fringes, he's very unlikely to be MGTOW.
What you're perceiving as "MGTOW conservatism" is basically the acknowledgement of the fact that despite all its problems in the past, patriarchy actually worked. At least it produced the population at replacement levels. As far as the current paradigm goes, its long-term viability still remains to be seen due to the introduction of the new variable in the shape of the rapid advance of technology into the mix. Will see about that because every civilisation which has tried to stray from patriarchy in the past (i.e. Babylon, Sparta, Rome or Egypt) has been taken over by some strong patriarchal civilization every single time....

I think you may be confusing MGTOW with MRA or anti-feminism.

While some people that have MGTOW tendencies may follow these ideals MGTOW itself has no political or left or right leaning.

It is simply Men Going There Own Way. So men who have decided the best path for them is to move away from romantic relationships and focus on improving their lives. They can do that with any political mindset or creed.

I'm definitely a believer in "the good old days weren't that good" as far as male disposability so I dont see anything in the past that I would be interested in returning to.

Years ago Barbarossa made a pretty good case that politics is the realm of the MRA and not mgtow. I agree with him that politicians cannot fix relations between men and women. Nor would small government policies.

MGTOW is just an arbitrary label, which denotes your awareness about the issues with legal entanglements with women.

Literally any other similarity between a non-MGTOW and MGTOW is pure coincidence, and must be treated as an individual characteristic. No enforcing conformity here. If that person's conservative, that's okay. You're not, that's okay.

Regarding the "good old days", some men feel that because they value family more than personal freedom. One can understand another's perspective without having to agree with it. To paraphrase TFM: Two people with opposing values can never agree.

Or they're not informed enough and should watch Karen Straughan.

Conservatives are usually about family values: get married, have children, and get a full-time job to support others. That side of things is not consistent with MGTOW.

MGTOW is apolitical. MGTOW is the RATIONAL decision to avoid legal entanglements with women based on a cost/benefit analysis of marriage/co-habitation. Is there any political party that is consistent with that idea? Not that I know about.

The problem with terms like Conservative is that they really only have one alternative, liberal, depending on who you ask. Sure you can say there are centrist to, but what does that mean other than having a nuanced view?

You can look at something, acknowledge that it is broken, and not be conservative. A lot of MGTOWs, particularly here on MGTOW2, acknowledge that the divorce system is broken if it forces men to pay alimony the way it does, but that doesn't mean they believe divorce should be outlawed, many would likely be fine with divorce existing as long as neither party had to pay alimony and they had equal access to their children. It also doesn't mean that they think men should be the only ones working, or that women should be stay at home moms, or that they shouldn't be allowed to have casual sex before marriage. We even have a surprisingly large number of gay and bisexual MGTOWS.

You really can't take this one thing that MGTOW is ultimately about, the disdain for the current gynocentric laws, and say that makes them conservative or that they are 'idolizing' the past. It's not idolizing season 1 of Game of Thrones to acknowledge that season 8 sicked. It is just having an opinion, one people that most agree with.

Honestly, both conservatives and liberal parties (in the US) are predicated on male disposability, so I don't think either are particularly attractive. I would imagine many MGTOW would lean conservative out of opposition to the social justice dominated Democrats, but it ain't like anybody's administering litmus tests in this game.

Ultimately, MGTOW is about consciously working toward the life you want, once the Rage dies down. At least that's what I'm experiencing personally.

I used to think ness liberal until a few friend during a political chat informed me that uhm, bruh you aren’t liberal. But wasn’t labeled conservative either and definitely not libertarian. So not sure what they meant and really I don’t care. If it’s a voting situation I will vote for the person not the party. Am registered as a Democrat.

The essence of conservatism is preservation and promotion of the good, the beautiful and the true. Check out Scruton for a deep dive.

Since MGTOW is based on a high degree of reality in a world where people are lying to us about almost everything--the fact that so many classifications of people need special rules bent to their weaknesses to conjure "equality" speaks to these massive delusions--it follows predictably that there will be a large overlap between the set of people who call themselves "conservatives" and the set of people pursuing a MGTOW lifestyle.

Don't worry about the spiritual parts you don't like. You're not there for that lesson anyway.

Not necessarily. For some people it's authoritarian vs libertarian, and both parties have elements of both the former & the latter. I think for many it's more of a "who is currently more willing to let me live my life on my own terms".
