It's generally a good idea to have some form of emergency contact (in case you get in an accident or something and someone knows you well enough to know what medications or allergies you have).
Dont worry about jail. You actually have to try pretty hard to go to jail as long as you arent drunk driving, being violent, or speeding at very very high speeds.

I used to travel for work 5-6 days at a time before. Use gravity feeders for the food and water. Both come in larger sizes (1Gal/3.8L) so if you are gone for a week, kitty will still be fed the correct amount on schedule. Litter box: have 2 and keep them clean daily when home so an unexpected absence won't be cat-astrophic.

Sounds more like separation anxiety to me.

Do your research for your new location, know what not to do, know what contacts to use for legal matters etc.

Sort matters one at a time once you're there, give yourself breathing room and just settle into it.

Support systems exist outside of implied physical presence once you start looking.

Get a friend asap once getting there, just someone you can contact to look in on your cat. You can look for a contact online before you go there, just explain your pet situation and you can find someone to help you out there. Though I wouldn't really worry about jail unless you're actively breaking law.

Don't worry about being arrested.

Join a club or two once you get there. I'm sure you have interests besides work so try and find similar groups.

It's tough making good friends but it can help finding one good person to show you around and introduce you to other decent people.

I'm not sure being MGTOW or not will affect this situation. It's more of developing social connections in a new location. People face this every day and end up with positive outcomes.

I would start attend events and activities based on my interests and values. The group that would most likely be considerate enough to be concerned with the feeding of you cat without knowing you well, is a church. I haven't been a part of a church in over 30 years because my beliefs don't line up with organized religion, but it would be my first move.

I haven't lived in Arizona but I used to travel there for a week every month for 5 years. They are good people there.

They'll only jail you for speeding if you're going recklessly fast, like 120 miles per hour or something. But don't speed. They'll ticket your ass and rob a bunch of money from you that way. For your cats sake, automate their routine. Automatic feeder, auto water fountain, auto litter box. A bit pricy but the Litter Robot is a lifesaver for when I need to leave town for a bit.

I would seek out healthy relationships with like minded people. It’s not easy at all. It takes time to build solid relationships but you gotta try. Focus on your hobbies and meet people. Even try meetup.com

Always keep your smartphone charged and handy (never surrender it, unless at gunpoint) and familiarize yourself with all the apps these days that allow you get the help you need. Ensure you have money/credit for them, though. When you get too old (e.g. 80s, 90s) or disabled, check yourself into a good retirement/nursing home. Again, ensure you have enough cash and maybe have assigned power of attorney to a lawyer you can trust in case you start to lose your mind (e.g. dementia, Alzheimer's). Nothing in life costs more than doctors and lawyers when you need them the most. Adding a woman to all these problems only reduces your available cash and increases your risks in just about all aspects of life.

I live on my own with no family within a day's drive. What of it? Look after yourself as best you can. Bad things can happen to you, but they can happen while your family and friends are around and you'll still be fucked.

Move to Arizona, enjoy your time there and don't stress over nightmares.

To get arrested for speeding, you’ve gotta be doing well in excess of the posted limit. I’ve been pulled over more times than I can remember and at one point I had my driving privileges revoked in three states. Despite all sorts of vehicular stupidity, I was never arrested. (I don’t drive like a dipshit anymore.)

As other folks here have said, you can hire a lawyer on retainer and if you do get arrested, you’ll have someone to call.

If you’re relocating to Arizona, I’m going to guess you’ll have a landlord and a supervisor at whatever job you get. You can always ask either of them if they’d be willing to check on your cat if something happened to you. The landlord especially is likely to be OK with that since he or she wouldn’t want your car making a mess of the house while you’re away. Whatever you do, don’t say that you’re afraid of going to jail - that will creep folks out. Say that you’re afraid of getting into an accident and being unable to leave the hospital.

I am going to assume that finances are tight and hiring a personal assistant tasked to check in on you and your cat until you develop social network in Arizona is completely out of your budget.

To alleviate your fear of arrest, research local SPCA or similar animal rescue outfits operating in the city into which you are moving. Ask them what options you and your cat have in your situation should you be unable to come home. Perhaps you can be advised on some kind of arrangement should this unlikely scenario materialize.
