Am I the only one here who honest-to-goodness never wanted a girlfriend or to get married and have kids? I’m in my mid thirties and have always been attracted to women, but for me, I could never justify the immense amount of effort and commitment that a relationship requires. I had a girlfriend once several years ago when I first got out of the army because I thought that’s what I was “supposed to” do, but that ended in disaster for both of us because I don’t think either of us really cared about the relationship. I don’t even want to date casually; I always have a better time with friends or by myself than with a woman who expects me to impress her. It’s just such a shifty way to live.

Am I the only one here who thinks like this, or do most of the people here feel on some level like they are “missing out” on an important experience in life? Just curious.
