Ok, so it's been almost a month. I read all replies. In the past, I have tried several of the diets that were mentioned, but I never found them sustainable, even though they would produce some results. I would often end up eating junk food again.

I decided I wanted something balanced and sustainable. I want to enjoy an occasional sweet snack. So to curb overdoing it with sweets, I just didn't buy anymore and instead bought a bunch of vegetables that were easy to grab and munch on: celery, carrot sticks, bell peppers, grape tomatoes, etc. Every time I get a craving to eat, I eat veggies.

The result from this was I never got a sweet tooth craving. So, it must have not been the sweets, but eating from boredom that was the problem. I have no reservations with "overeating" vegetables, especially since I work out enough. Physically, I feel better and more energetic. Weight hasn't changed, but then again, I have intensified my strength training a bit, so muscle might be replacing fat. Also, I no longer have that nagging feeling in the back of my mind that I might get diabetes or whatever from dumping so much sugar into my body every day.

Hopefully this method works for someone that was having the same cravings I was having.
