One of my early RP goals is to identify and weed out my covert contracts.

My wife is pretty fucking awesome already. However, one thing that used to drive me insane is how terrible she is at housework. Ok, it still drives me a little insane.

One particular area is the garbage can in the master bath. It's always overflowing with TP and other junk. A month ago, pre-RP, I was constantly irritated at this. I work full time and she doesn't! Why should I take this out?? Grumble grumble. (All in my head, mind you).

I've been trying to re-adjust my mindset that I can't (and shouldn't) expect her to do anything, and if something bugs me, I need to take care of it. So I have been. When it gets full, I simply take it out. My mind feels clearer without all the negatives associated with the irritations of my covert contracts. It's made me happier.

Now, strangely enough... Last night I was brushing my teeth. My wife was in the bathroom with me, and I walked over and looked at the trash. It was full, and I was planning on taking it out after I was done brushing. No animosity at all. It just needed to be done, so I was going to do it. But she beat me to it! She saw me look at it and immediately took it out.

I was sitting there dumbfounded, like, holy fuck... RP works!!
