I've read a lot of RP stuff, as well as a number of books built on similar philosophy (married man sex primer comes to mind). I'm not going to lie, some stuff I think is gold, other stuff I think is shit..as is the case with most philosophical systems. Anyway, things have been on the up for me recently. I really didn't try all that hard either.. A month ago I started eating more healthy. I didn't exactly switch to eating greens all day, but I stopped eating fried foods, I stopped getting that donut along with my breakfast sandwich in the morning, stopped buying chocolate, eating ice cream, etc. For the past year or so I have been lifting weights but this past month I made a more concentrated effort which generally included doing more than just a bunch of bicep reps and whatnot. I started to make a point of working out on a daily basis and varying my workouts more than just running.

As far as the rest of RP stuff goes I generally have been solid on that naturally. As a kid I got picked on a lot for various reasons. As a result of that I got very good at reading social situations, hashing out motivations, reading people's faces, etc. A secondary result of that is I become somewhat introverted, and picked up a lot of hobbies that I did on my own. Those things have translated well for me as an adult without much effort on my part. For example, I have no problem whatsoever having my own hobbies that don't require my wife to be around, and indeed I do lots of stuff just on my own. I don't lose my shit if she has a long week at work and I am without her company/ I am not needy. I can quickly discern motivations behind things, and I am more or less immune to shit tests. I don't constantly seek her approval for things I want to do (being married I obviously seek her input on many things that affect the both of us). You get the idea.

Back to the point a though..my wife and I have been married for 2 years, together for 8. Things have mostly been great between us, but sex was always a point of contention. I could blame various things at various times..hormonal birth control, anti-depressants, etc. A few months ago I finally came to the conclusion that being more serious about my physical appearance was the best thing I could do. And over the past two weeks, I started to see the payoff. Two weeks ago my wife started commenting on my muscles randomly, and also about me losing weight. Later that week she showed genuine interest in sex both before and during the act itself, something that has been lacking for quite some time. This continued until yesterday, when out of the blue my wife starts asking me about my job (she's never been here/seen where I work). Out of the blue she was like "do you work with any hoes?", much to my surprise. I asked to define "hoe" in this context, and the answer was basically any young attractive women. I told her there were a few young women I work with, not commenting on the attractive part. A good 15 minutes goes by of other conversation when she suddenly jumps back to the women I work with. She then asked me if they flirted with me, and I told her yes, because they do. No bragging, no indication that I flirt back (because I mostly don't), just the truth. Her reaction was interesting..she was simultaneously not happy...but still seemed to like my answer. As in, she didn't seem to like the idea of other women flirting with me, but something about it was appealing. In red pill terms, it was dread caused by a perceived increase in my SMV. The dread probably didn't feel great, but the idea of being with version 2.0 me, which had a higher SMV than 1.0 was appealing. Later in the night we has absurdly intense sex...as in I was just totally drenched in sweat. I can't remember it ever being so intense, not even when we first started dating in college.

Anyway, it would appear that things are starting to come together. Thought I'd share for the encouragement of others.
