Hi, I'm ok thanks. Sorry for the delay in replying, I don't log into reddit very frequently, I've been posting on Rational Male comments section, particularly as I've been practicing some game in the "Field". Things aren't super smooth with the wife but I'm fine with that. I think I told you in PM that I split financially with her (something you can do in my country). She really resisted that at the time but now it is kind of the new normal which sort of surprised me. I feel a little bit bad abo…

So far, all the "swole" younger guys I've met at the gym were indifferent at worst and often actually helpful. Don't be intimidated.

I started with empty bar and 1.5 years in I'm still at less than half that. And at mid-thirties I think I'm younger than you as well, so I really start to wonder if I have low T. That said, I'm also under 170 lb myself and I had some months of no gym doing bodyweight exercises. I'm surprised you squat more than you deadlift, and that bench is really high.

Are you tracking macros? If not, try that and eat enough but focusing on protein. Lean meats are good, like the famous chicken breast. In any case, progress is progress. Don't get discouraged and keep on lifting. If you stall on that program you can try to move to a different one, there were good posts about that. When there are no weights around you can try bodyweight progressions. You should be almost able to do 1-leg squats, which are a decent replacement for the weight you are squatting. Pus…

I think SampsonBrass has the right questions but he left one out. Why is she marrying you? We are all going to die, but maybe not as soon as you are. How much money do you have stashed, how much do you make while you can still work, and is there some insurance payout? Remember that women love opportunistically. She may not necessarily be just waiting for your inheritance, but it is something to consider. Also, reiterating: why are you marrying this woman? If you want a nurse for your terminal st…

I don't think a man has any obligation of sacrificing his own happiness for the sake of anyone else. Even his own kids. What do you think of the concept of a man having himself as his Mental Point of Origin? Furthermore, a man that sacrifices his happiness for his wife or for his kids is probably doing a disservice to them and to himself in the long run. You say the unhappy man leaves and that has a super negative effect on the wife, which deprives the kids of the best level of parenting from he…

I'm not sure if you were spinning plates in the past or if you still are spinning other plates. Your usage of the word "cheated" is also unclear to me - did you promise her monogamy and then didn't keep it? Unless you tell her you wouldn't do other women, it isn't cheating. If you are spinning plates, even your main plate can fall. This may be inevitable. Otherwise you can look up information on pLTRs (Blackdragon's blog). There have been several posts on the comments of Rational Male articles a…

Thank you for sharing. After all that and she trying to screw you in legal terms? You probably should have divorced. But you have kids. You realize you are sacrificing your happiness for theirs. Yes, how you act/react is completely under your control. It is also the only thing that is actually under your control - you can't control her even if you want to. I think pretty much everyone here agrees with that, which is why I find it slightly surprising about the "It's always your fault, even when it is hers". I understand that a lot of us had trouble owning up when it really was our fault, but still...

I think some people here (including those with tags) take the "It is always you fault (even if it is her fault)" a bit too far sometimes. You've been doing that every single day, then she sleep badly because she had a nightmare (not your fault) and then suddenly it is all your fault? No. She was taking out her frustration on you. Good on you for being the Oak regardless. And for correcting the snooze thing, although frankly if it works better for you, why is it "wrong"? You started doing it her …

Well done. Not just on handling the kid, mostly on handling the mom, and not just the "on-screen" part displayed here, but also the "off-screen" part that ensured she let you handle the kid. Many moms wouldn't have let their husbands teach the lesson, even if the dad knew what to do.

LOL at your "One time I dumped a girl because she didn't put out and I was seduced by her best friend". Thank you for posting this. I am in a Long Distance Relationship usually (I spend stretches of time with the wife) so I had lots of opportunity to practice game. I went a few times but then got cautioned by Sentient at the Rational Male comments that it was easy to "fail to release", as you put it in your title. I didn't want to be in your situation so I stopped practicing. Maybe I'm buffering (as you describe in your post). Also your game wasn't that sloppy. It went pretty close to classic Myst…

Your father said something (work smart, not hard) and did something else (not worked at all). That doesn't invalidate my point, and neither does some flawed anecdotal "evidence" drawn from your life. You can run as hard as you want, someone else uses a bicycle - faster and less effort. If the objective was going the distance that is smarter, not harder and it still accomplishes the objective. Of course if you are training for a marathon that is a different story. What your father was doing was r…

IMO, no part of what I described in those 3 points is a facade. I was asking you because you claimed the only thing you lose when married is the power to play games or some such.
/r/askMRP25/10/16 11:24 AM
1

Being married makes it harder for most men to leave their wives. This is reality. Agreed? Dread (game) is based on the woman fearing the loss of the man. Agreed? Dread (game) makes the woman more attracted to the man. Agreed? Put those 3 together. What part of this, if any, do you think is fantasy?
/r/askMRP24/10/16 08:01 PM
1

Is there an amount, even if small, of derision when you refer to "play games"? If so that Red Pill isn't completely down yet. Accept the world as it is. Women respond to the things that women respond to. Particularly if you want to keep an LTR, Dread game is basically essential on some level.
/r/askMRP24/10/16 06:52 PM
1

I'll rephrase but this will necessarily involve semantics. I think impulse control is at play when there is something you don't really want to do but are tempted. Maybe like eating candy while you get used to healthier eating and stop feeling tempted. So because there are consequences that you don't want (getting fat), ultimately, you don't want to eat the candy and your impulse control is used. So what are the consequences you don't want, that makes you secretly wish she gave you a reason?
/r/askMRP24/10/16 06:49 PM
1

It is fairly well established, even though apparently not every RP aware guy agrees, that marriage limits your ability to game the woman. I really don't understand how anyone that believes in basic RP concepts like Dread would think being married is not a handicap for keeping attraction up. MRP is even often referred as RP on hard mode.

I'm not sure I get this... Why are you not doing what you want, if you know what you want?
/r/askMRP24/10/16 04:45 PM

And yet, we shouldn't just do something hard for the sake of it being hard. Work smarter, nor harder. Some of those things that are hard (say, lifting heavy) are the easiest way to achieve your actual objective (say, getting stronger). If the objective is just getting off, then the easy way does make sense. If the objective is to reliably get to P in V, probably the easiest way (even though it is hard work) is to learn Game and be Red Pill aware. Doing that within the Blue Pill is actually harde…

With the GNO, the point is precisely not to act butt hurt. But remember they are probably better at detecting it than even you. Have you read this: https://therationalmale.com/2012/08/27/girls-night-out/comment-page-2/ Still, if there are "constant" GNOs, I think it is indeed a Red Flag.

Your wife keeping that kind of social circle (party girls) is potentially an issue in the future. As long as you are going with her and being surrounded by the 4 women it is not a problem particularly if you have enough Game, but be prepared for the classic Girls Night Out shit test. Also, if you really weren't insecure about your car, you very likely wouldn't have posted about it. And spend more time worrying about yourself than the daughter, as well. The rest will follow from the strong Frame. If he puts the daughter as his Mental Point of Origin and the wife (not ex yet) sniffs that, she will leverage that to control him.

This is very interesting as YaReally (RP PUA often posting in Rational Male comments) has called out pLTR as a strategy of keeping your kid's mother on your life (instead of divorcing you if you are legally married). I wouldn't go back to the marriage. I'd keep her as the primary plate and keep other plates around, possibly covertly. Or just tell her you aren't going back to being exclusive (sexually) but she is still your "primary" (implicitly: at least while she behaves). I don't think you can…

In general a nice statement and your cases seems a good approach as there were already other women around perhaps. But in being fair to the OP's buddies, I am against bringing females in to male spaces. OP describes they are "talking about everything" - I strongly suspect that would stop happening as soon as the wife is there "at the hip". As I recall you are also trying to create some male spaces, so I think you understand what I'm talking about.

Others have said much of what I would here, I'll just say something that has been noted by me and others in the past. There are a lot of religious and formerly religious men in the manosphere and particularly in MRP (me included). And with a few exceptions, men generally don't come to this when their marriage was going great. P.S. Same goes for military and formerly military men.

And once again, he is more invested than she is because of the kids... https://www.reddit.com/r/marriedredpill/comments/4q3je0/oneitis_not_just_for_women_you_want_to_have_sex/ I'm not saying it is easy to take away that particular leverage she has, I can't comment on that not having kids myself... I don't get how why he needs to change jobs to cut his son's bullshit play of "I quit my job because mom's job pays well". That is obviously bullshit and would still be bullshit even if Blue himself was unemployed. He shouldn't need to quit his own Mission to correct the kid's path. Or if that really is needed, maybe the kid deserves whatever he gets from getting used to being lazy.

I only saw this now. I'm a bit disappointed because I think you made a massive error. Strategically, you made your wife less vulnerable for divorce. Among Married Men, you had a situation where she would get massively divorce raped financially AND you still had an extremely respectable job an earning power. It's not like you were some bum living on her salary (which would also be pretty respectable as well, at least on the alpha sense). Worse, from your description of your old job here, you aban…

I'm kind of in a similar position so maybe I'm biased, but I disagree. I don't deserve or am entitled to anything and neither is the OP. But neither is my wife or OP's wife. If we make covert contracts it is our fault. If our wife makes covert contracts it is also our fault? I don't know what the OP has overtly stated to his wife, and when I married years ago we were both young(er) and undecided, but I've been pretty clear that I don't want kids. Whatever you do, be in control of the birth control. Otherwise you may be in for one of those intentional "accidents". You messed up there, no question about it. It was probably because you engaged her in a rational discussion. What you said is correct - she is responsible for her own happiness - but she doesn't want to hear it. Ok given that no one posted so far, I read this review: http://thewirecutter.com/reviews/the-best-voice-recorder/ Sony ICD-UX533, around 100 USD according to the review, but I checked Amazon and looks to be under 60 USD. I think you did well. Don't negotiate with terrorists. "Shoot the hostage" is advanced, but sometimes it is the right strategy. I guess in this case the "Shoot the hostage taker" option would be to take the trip by yourself (saves the hostage, which was the trip, screws the hostage taker, which was your wife). Is there a reason you didn't go for this option, the default MRP advice I think would be "I'm going, feel free to join me".

Personal questions for UEM, out of curiosity because I'd like to learn a bit more from other people's experiences. Even if she continues to be "near close the woman [you] married"... Do you think you will reconsider that trigger when your kids are out of the house? From my PoV, at that stage the value proposition shifts massively. 1. She is a SAHM, a good one apparently, but that becomes moot. 2. She will also be older, lower SMV almost by default. 3. There will be no child support. With that in…

A very important part of Red Pill is Internal game, arguably more so not just external stuff. Your snippets of text reveal what I believe to be critical flaws in your internal game. You care way too much about what others think about you (e.g. "I can't be alpha at work with all the women, they just think I'm a bitch"). Your self-image is not what it needs to be for you to be alpha "it is exhausting being a chihuahua and trying to act like wolf. Because everyone else treats you like a chihuahua".…

Another question: how to deal with imbalances? I am stronger on the right side, both on arms and legs. At some stage I was tilting when going up on squats (keeping right side lower). When I started doing bodyweight it was even easier to spot when I reached 1-legged squats (pistol or shrimp).

I may have asked this before, but what do you do when you are traveling (holidays or business) and don't have access to weights? I've defaulted to do bodyweight progressions in these instances, even though it isn't ideal. The difficulties I have is that most gyms don't accept people on single sessions, and when they do the prices are high and they may be located inconveniently. Here are some questions that I think Rollo hasn't addressed and that I am interested For men in bad LTRs, a fairly ubiquitous RP suggestion (even in MRP) is "NEXT". For men in bad marriages, "NEXT" is not nearly as ubiquitous due to "divorce rape", but isn't that essentially a sunken cost fallacy, at least for those without kids? Agree with FireTempered. If she is actually clinically a hoarder (whether she is diagnosed as such or not)... Option 2 won't work. I can see the point in rewarding good behavior, but I'm with Cholomite on this. Actual good behavior would be doing the chores as she is supposed to, and not "bragging" about it with the list. Furthermore, women typically don't reward men's "good behavior" in providing (thanks, legal marriage automatically making it hers anyway), particularly if married men try to use it as a display of high value it will probably backfire and act as a display of low value. I doubt it is good for you or the children for you to have sex with ex. You are feeling good now and you were apparently feeling miserable when you were with her. You could bang her without a relationship, but it makes things complicated and I'd be very surprised if she isn't doing it with some intention (conscious or not) of roping you back into a relationship. She is probably past-wall if you have kids and while she likely got a few extra rides in the Carousel she didn't get anyone to commit t…

The problem is if you keep having sex with her, she has more power over you and it will be much harder to get rid of the One-itis. Also keep in mind that if you engage with her verbally you are mostly playing on her field as well. You aren't married and have been with her a relatively short amount of time (I suspect most men here have 5+ years). But you are apparently living together, and if so this becomes a bit harder. You should keep improving, for yourself, be extremely wary of subconsciousl…

What a mess. NO ULTIMATUM. It seems you already told her what was (supposed to be) your boundary and she stepped over it more than once and just simply lies about it. And you just take it and "want to salvage" - what kind of boundary is that? If you can give her an ultimatum what do you think happens? It confirms for her that you are essentially powerless, and goes and lies and hides better. You aren't even married. Have the balls to decide she isn't good enough for you and next her. Without hav…

I think the second one is still a milder form covert contract because it still depends on third parties. It is much better than the first version as it no longer depends on a single person (point of failure) but ultimately it still depends on external validation. "I'll become a better person" by itself can be enough.

It is fairly standard, many of us start off with One-itis and want something specifically from their wife. So after admitting you aren't necessarily high value, the MAP is subconsciously conceived with the idea that "If I become high value she will X me" (X may be like/respect/fuck). In reality even becoming high value in order to be attractive to women is a covert contract, although slightly better than being attractive specifically to a particular woman. My view is that your own happiness is all that matters. The problem with having children you care about (or anyone else you care about really) is that their unhappiness causes you unhappiness. I'm not suggesting the best option is to stop caring altogether - you will also often derive happiness from caring for someone else. This is just how I view things.

You don't need to agree with anything. It is my opinion, which I think is a bit different from most Red Pill aware men. To me it seems a very straightforward extension of Red Pill knowledge. Just be aware that "They're not replaceable and cannot be substituted." is pretty much One-itis territory and that, at the very least, your wife (or even your kids, maybe when they are older) can use that belief against you. You also die with regular concentration eventually, hence the "you just burn out faster". How much faster depends on concentration. I think typical high average life expectancy of populations living at high altitude with less oxygen concentration is at least in part due to the low oxygen, but I don't remember reading scientific studies on it to separate out other factors like diet etc.

I think women just tend to be bad about giving anyone (even other women) advice because they struggle to put themselves in other people's places. And also they tend to mend feelings rather than give good practical advice in general. For most women, getting sex and even a relationship (with a beta, mind) isn't too hard and they "just be" themselves. Is it so surprising that this is the advice they give? "Natural" alphas also tend to give this type of advice to beta friends. I don't actually think…

Reality is what it is so we better deal with it, but this "Women are wonderful" default is such an asset for the "Feminine Imperative". You just need to get over your ego and initiate. Assume you won't get rejected, and if you do get rejected, suck it up. It is not that big deal. This is an hilarious problem to have. Couldn't you just turn to face away from her if you really wanted to sleep? I doubt she has such long arms that she can still do it that way. I agree with Persaeus, seems like a very direct approach invite - the sort that a man would do to a woman, straight to the genitals. To be fair, I think having an assertive wife is better than having a passive aggressive wife. But showing her the book is no guarantee that she will stop being passive aggressive and might well decrease the effectiveness of the techniques. I'm not sure it does though, there are even some jokes about it in the book where the author spots someone else who knows about it and they engage the techniques on each other and then have a laugh.

By your description, you didn't go from untrained to 315 in 6 months. You were already trained, and for many years. Not necessarily with barbells, but with other heavy stuff. Can you see that? I'm not saying it can't be done, but I don't think it is realistic for most uninitiated men in 6 months. At the very least it depends on bodyweight. GLO, you have very funny articles and also a lot of good advice but sometimes I think you are being a bit unrealistic with the schedule of lifting. Is it on purpose just to push people to work out harder? I don't think many men can realistically go from never having lifted to DL 315 pounds in 6 months. Disclaimer: I've been at it for more than 6 months and I'm only around 1x5 at 260 lb. Maybe I'm must weak sauce.

Let them eat cake. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Let_them_eat_cake I think you are losing track of what is important if you are worried about this. I think it should be noted that there are some people with enough of mental fortitude and strength of character (however you define that) that will not have qualms in using these same tactics. Because they work. And they work well. So it is not like anyone using them is only using them because they don't have any other tools. So I'd be wary of underestimating someone using fear-based tactics. Regardless, you are well served in owning up your fear. It may sound like a platitude but I really do th…

My 1x5 DL is around double what I can 5x5 Pendlay row with decent form (not raising the torso to pull the weight up). Also 1x5 DL is just a bit (like 5%) over 5x5 Squat, because Squat increases in Workout A and B and DL just on B. Should I increase to 5x5 on Deadlift as well, on the same day I'm squatting heavy 5x5?

Transcending the need for women sounds very nice to me but I suspect that this need is a fundamental part of being a masculine man, along with the drive to take on challenges and other things that are to some extent fueled by testosterone. Now, what is really dangerous is needing a specific woman. Needing women doesn't need to be too bad, they also need men in the same sense. In the words of someone wiser than me about these things: https://therationalmale.com/2013/06/26/you-need-sex/

Why wait indeed. Join the gym now, one that has a good power rack, barbells and weights for compound lifts. After a few months you can decide if you want to have a home gym instead. However because some people are poor or stubborn, bodyweight exercises are a decent alternative for some of the compound lifts. But you will need to learn more exercises to do the progressions, so it isn't a good alternative for everyone.

You don't need a man raised by dysfunctional parents to be prone to One-itis. It seems to me that women are designed by evolution to evoke One-itis, and that most men are prone to it pretty much regardless of upbringing. Even men that are very Red Pill aware and know about it. As for the solution, even though I haven't tried it, spinning plates - i.e. having more than one girl - appears to be the most effective preventive medicine.

If you want to trade money for negotiated, desireless sex, you should be looking for prostitutes instead. Being married is not an insulation from the sexual marketplace for many reasons. Some people distinguish LTR or Married Market Value from SMV in the sense that SMV is more specific for STR, single night lays or whatever. I think that Value is Value, and that women don't all have the same value system.

AWALT, but some women just have to be better than others. Law of Large numbers, as a population they should follow some bell curve in whatever traits you care about. The main message is still that you should improve yourself because that is what you control. For any given LTR that you are already in with a specific individual what you can (and should) do…

Your situation is different than mine I guess. I definitely agree with "If you want your house a certain way or level then own it and do it yourself", in my case it is my wife that wants it a certain way or level higher than the one I'm already happy with, and I think she should own it and do it herself. You did fairly well on the logistics which is good to have. There are at least some underlying BP residuals that you should work on. The one that was clearer to me and has been mentioned by others is that you essentially rewarded your wife for bad behavior, probably because you implicitly think she has value just because she has a vagina. I don't want to become a servant to anything, even if it is bigger than me. In any case I'm pretty sure everyone's biological legacy is going to die in the far future, so everyone doing it to "propagate their genes" and therefore having some measure of immortality is pretty much fooling themselves, and, if they are so concerned with having a measure of immortality, signals to me they are afraid of dying (not an insult, just my observation).

This is more theory than practice for me, but generally the answer is to demonstrate (and preferably have) higher value. Is the wife a bitch to you, but pleasant to others (including strangers)? This shows you that she knows how to be pleasant. Why does she want to give off a good impression to strangers but not to you? Most likely, because she thinks you are low value (and she may well be right). It could be simply because you put up with it, which does demonstrate low value.

The same biology designed men to provide for women, and designed women for AF/BB. Ok you are joking but look around with a Red Pill lens and see if you can't spot other parents with this attitude. There was even one example in WISNIFG. If that was really what you'd want, you'd have better odds saving up the money you would spend on kids and directly buying the care you want. It is my sincere (but possibly unpopular) opinion that a lot of very Red Pill men who can easily spot One-itis for wives (or girlfriends or plates), are blind to having One-itis for their family (mostly their kids, but in this case parents). You should be your own Mental Point of Origin, and only you care about your happiness. My understanding is the mother and the daughter still have contact, or at the very least the the guy doesn't try to limit their contact. I laughed when I read that bit. I am not sure I agree with you on that. It got him custody of the kids, can't argue too much with that kind of result. Remember that covert/indirect is how women prefer to communicate. If he had communicated with the daughter in an overt/direct way (which I suspect is what you are advocating for?) it could have higher chances of backfiring on him: the daughter could better spot him as trying to pit her against mom. Consider one extra thing as a possible pro for the promotion: does it place you in a better position to progress further in the future? Basically, even though the promotion may be inferior in the short term over your current position, it could strategically be a wise move to suck it up for a few months or years to eventually get to a position which is much better than your current one (and of the "intermediate" promotion). My best 5x5 has been 95 kg / 210 lb, I haven't managed to get the 97.5 kg completed yet. Bench: I'm around 65 kg / 140 lb. Rows: Kind of around 55 kg / 120 lb. Form is a struggle here. OHP: I've been stuck at around 42 kg / 92 lb on OHP, I think for months now. But it makes sense in t…

I'm far from an expert, but that fight reads to close to something that can happen to me. Down to this: Me: You plan nothing, you help with nothing, and as soon as something doesn't go the way we want you start complaining. You should be helping. And the concrete example detail and such. So I'm guessing you still engaged her too much based on logic, because that is what I usually still default on in the heat of the moment.

You need to have a mission and have it be more important than women. Women can come along for the ride, or not. They can make your life better, but they should not BE your life. You shouldn't ever be in a position where losing a "relationship" destroys you. Rational Male has lots more on this.

I'm in a different country but there are probably similar calculators. 2% is really low, is that usual for the U.S.? Anyway, that's what I thought, thanks. It is the opportunity cost of having the money stuck in the house versus equities or other options. It gets more complicated if you borrow money though (although it looks like you considered that), because you may be able to get loans with decent interest rate and then some of the bank's money is invested in the house while your own money (mi…

Merely financial analysis. Does she get half of your shared possessions but no alimony? If so, you shouldn't be thinking "a divorce will cost me a lot financially". Your marriage already cost you that, because she is legally entitled to half of it as it is. Consider this. Your salary is (apparently) much higher. If you divorce her in 2016, you split the assets you earned until 2016. If you put it off and divorce her in 2017, then you will also be averaging down your salary (with her lower one) f…

If you do feel like having sex with her, and can handle yourself well enough from a rejection, then do initiate. As you say you don't feel confident, I suspect it is not that you don't wan…

This is an important point beyond the current situation. IrateMD said "she could use those books for her job" but in fact at least WISNIFG probably would be very beneficial for her not to be manipulated by her mother. I assume she is being manipulated because the OP mentioned "guilt trip", which is a common manipulative tactic that unfortunately some parents use.

I'm not judging, it is not an easy situation that I haven't faced myself. I'm just glad he didn't try any elaborate revenge plans or "demoting her to plate". He didn't completely freak out when the "Chad" called, but it still broke whatever little Frame he had mustered going into the situation, he relied on STFU which is actually pretty decent. Realistically, you can easily remind her, but to remind her and get some results (which is what you want) you should divorce her. I wouldn't say that. I just think you are leaning too much into "marriages failing is ALL the man's fault" (which I don't even think is your actual position). My point is that the marriage contract itself stacks things very much against the man, such that if it fails it doesn't mean the man was weaksauce or a pussy. Given my own situation I may be biased. I don't think Rollo is though.
/r/MarriedRedPill07/04/16 07:47 PM

Isn't this a bit like a self-fulfilling prophecy? If you always blame "weaksauce guys" when a marriage fails, then by your definition all marriages that fail are due to it and they are giving marriage a bad name when marriage 2.0 itself is good. Maybe marriage 2.0 is getting a bad name because many men that aren't that weaksauce will fail at it? Do you think that only men that are in the top 20% should marry? Only the top 10%? Are the rest "weaksauce"? Because optimizing the would-be wife's hype…

I'm not sure how to clarify. I'm trying to say that I agree that taking a risk, it blows on your face, and wishing you didn't take the risk is weak (which I think is part of the point of TFA). But conversely, taking a risk, it pays off, and saying "I would do it again" is not that different. In both cases you already know the outcome from the risk, it is simply not comparable to when you didn't know the outcome.

I would be very interest in any study comparing guys married under marriage 2.0 with guys living in stable LTRs without being married. I strongly suspect it is not the marriage per se that is the cause of the quality of life, and such a comparison would allow a distinction. Looking only at sex, for guys that know what they are doing I imagine LTRs enable more and better quality sex than even top Alphas / Chads / PUAs can get from ONSs (as far as I understand, the top PUAs themselves apparently g…

If the situation is such that a big majority of heterosexual marriages 2.0 have the man be unhappy as the outcome of it (possibly after divorce rape) - which may not reflect current reality - then my point is that in such a situation knowing that marriages where the man is happy are possible is not very relevant at best and rubbing salt in the wound at worst. Thanks for the clarification, you can see why I thought it was a bit strange seeing you mention the "social benefit" considering that example. Genuine question, TFA: if you didn't propose and get married, but still had kids with her and were living with her, what would you lose from not being married? It seems somewhat strange to me that the historical % was around 1-3% level and the modern % is still around 1-3% level, yet so much changed. The big ones - which are related of course - are technological advances in birth control, prophylactics and medicine (which controls the risk) and societal norms (which used to control hypergamy and now encourage it). /r/MarriedRedPill05/04/16 12:20 PM

I often wonder how bully kids get away with crap without interference from society that would get adults in trouble with the police or whatever. Namely, physically assaulting a peer (another kid in this case, or another adult in the thought experiment) and repeatedly doing it in other instances. If the bullied kid tries to get the situation dealt non-violently by whatever counts as the respective authority he/she may even be mocked for it. Instead of taking justice into own hands, beating the ot…

What is the rationale for giving the wife a pass because she cheated with women (rather than men)? I understand that our evolved sense of jealousy is probably triggered with men mostly because of paternity issues and such, but surely cheating is cheating? Please enlighten me.

DO NOT MARRY HER (or anyone else for that matter) What do you think you get from marrying her? Guaranteed sex? You get to keep her for life? It doesn't work like that! You already are a provider before marriage (by your own admission, and she knows it). She is already giving you pretty harsh shit tests from your description of it, most likely because she is taking you for granted, and that is before she can have an impending "divorce rape" keeping you in check. How do you think it will be when t…

It is dangerous to listen to your sister on stuff like that. Don't go from having your wife as your MPO to having your sister (or any other person, even some MRP guy here). It needs to be your own. There is actually a bunch of "open hypergamy" out in culture already, a famous example is the Sandberg quote (i.e. by a woman) that Rollo often reminds us about in the Rational Male. As for what I am doing, I've been making myself the Mental Point of Origin. Which is why I'm increasingly convinced I don't want to be providing for someone else, particularly someone who doesn't have enough value to me. 2nd to last paragraph, I don't expect anything like that. I'm kind of curious to see what the hamster would pull out to rationalize it though, because technically all that necessarily changes with the divorce is provisioning, but I don't see her openly admitting to the Beta Bucks dynamic.
/r/MarriedRedPill21/03/16 11:01 AM

You are not doing any of this for yourself. You have to be your own mental point of origin. Not your son. Otherwise she can just use him as an hostage of sorts (and she probably will). You have little to no outcome independence. You can't control her actions. Let her go, and maybe she will choose to stay. Chase her and you will certainly chase her away (even with the excuse that it is for your son, legitimately or because you are rationalizing it).

Cancel the wedding. There is still time for you. It is subtle, but I believe there are a few red flags here in the relationship (i.e. you and her). Seems like both of you are into power struggles. If you really want to go at it for more than 30 min there are a few positions you can get into that stimulate the woman more than you and allow you to relax. Do you want to cheat because you don't get enough sex from her, or do you want to cheat and you are using the possibility that she cheated as an excuse to feel better? You already have her keylogged. I am with Over60 on this one. You are looking for reasons to cheat. And possibly subconsciously you want some approval for it from the men here so you feel a bit better about it. If you are going to cheat, own it. Doing it for "revenge" is not manly. Read Over60's and UCad's posts on the topic if you haven't already. Over60 had a brilliant post some weeks ago.

Don't start dating if you don't want to because your kids pressure you to it (or whatever), but also you don't have to be continue to be unhappy just to pay homage to your wife. 8 months isn't that long. You also don't need to get into an LTR again (and probably there is not a single benefit for you to marry again, maybe if you want to have more kids in the future).

I don't have kids so I can only guess "neither". If I like someone my wish for them is to be happy, and from my Red Pill knowledge I think she needs to find an Alpha to commit to her (presumably Chad is Alpha but won't commit to her). Rollo has a daughter. I don't get why a daughter that knows about this stuff sticks around with a boyfriend with "no game" unless she wants a beta bucks. I'm not sure we should praise that. But nice of her to help her own dad not be a beta bucks to someone else, unless she is only doing that so she can have more inheritance when he dies a few years down the line. Damn I'm cynical today.

It may be a bit cruel of me to point this out, but I think he had and has Oneitis for his deceased wife. It may help him to move forward if he manages to be able to look back without rose-tinted glasses. It's impossible (or nearly so) that his marriage was perfect "every day was a holiday, every meal a banquet". That sounds too much like a Disney Blue Pill fantasy. That said, it is not surprising that his marriage was actually much better than the other ones here, because men that are happily ma…

I read somewhere, maybe in a high rated post here in TRP, a theory that girls close to your SMV (but that perceive themselves above it) will be more likely to reject you aggressively. The interpretation of the behavior was that if they are middle of the pack and you are middle of the pack, they think that rejecting you nicely lowers their value. By making a spectacle and humiliating you they are trying to make others think they are much better than you. The theory was that women that are clearly…

Also in case it is Cluster B / BPD, a couple of commentators on Rational Male are currently discussing it (I'm amazed, seems like there are a lot of of these women out there). Massive red flag, that is serious - she could be BPD but I wouldn't know. If you don't have kids, don't, and be in control of the birth control. Figure out how much you stand to lose if you divorce her, think deeply why are you married to her in the first place (and did you know about her debt when you married?).

Great series which I didn't know about. So many posters new to this don't get what Frame is about (myself included). I propose this series gets added to the sidebar. You are right, WISNIFG does assume some basic things about the other person involved in the interactions. On the other hand, it is possible that you are not using Negative Inquiry correctly. By this I mean that (as the book mentions), if your Negative Inquiry appears to be judgmental, she will become defensive and you won't be able to bring the core of the issue out of her.

I haven't looked too deeply at scenarios with just 2 competitors, I think with several programs competing, Tit-for-Tat usually does best. It is not a perfect strategy as if you know in advance the strategy of the opponent you can analyse it and derive a counter-strategy. I just checked on Wikipedia and there is a superior collusion tactic to prop up a single program whenever an entity can submit more than one program. My main point anyway was that most scenarios in real life allow retaliation an…

If comparing to real life, the more valid comparison is to iterated prisoner's dilemma, where cooperation is usually the rational move, and tit-for-tat is a solid strategy (obviously cooperating 100% without regard for the outcome of the previous iterations is still not the rational move, and can be exploited by other strategies).

This is something I knew prior to the Red Pill: if you NEED someone, then there really is no value in you sticking around, is there? You don't have a choice. Can't blame a woman for not valuing neediness, it really doesn't have value. Similarly, if the only reason that someone doesn't cheat is because they never had the chance for it, that doesn't show their fidelity.

I agree it is preferably for someone guilty to go free than to mess up an innocent person. If the woman is pushing herself on you, trying to undress you I would say it is on her to prove it was rape. I think it is reasonable to argue that it demonstrates she still has some minimum capacity to consent at that stage (problem with blackout drunk is that the capacity oscillates a bit). If he already had something he really wanted to do he should do that, but if he was thinking something to do, I don't see any problem in adjusting pros and cons when choosing and favoring stuff that improves SMV. Practically the first ubiquitous advice is to lift. There are many reasons for that (I think the Testosterone boost and psychological benefits are probably the main reason), but I think we would be naive if SMV increase wasn't part of it.

This is a bad comparison. tl:dr: being drunk doesn't automatically make you responsible for something, you need to do something to someone else for that. If you get blackout drunk, punch someone and someone stabs you (or shoots you), you are not held responsible for getting stabbed (or shot). What is your definition of cheating (emotional counts?). From the context I take it you mean "almost every married man was cheated on" by his current wife? I think things are bad with respect to marriages and LTRs, but I don't think they are at the "almost every" level. Majority? I can sort of see that now that I'm Red Pill aware (given that Majority do end up in divorce). The Almost Every level is that women are hypergamous (hence indeed keylogging would reveal the sidebar), but I don't think a…

Even being as "tolerant" on the wife as UCad is being, I think staying with a wife that cheated twice is such a demonstration of lower value that I don't see room for a realistic recovery. The OP could put in the effort to become as hot and dominant as a mythical Chad and the wife would still remember he stayed with her after she cheated on him twice. She could then think "I don't deserve him", but she could also think (more likely) "If he stayed he had no options". With the relationship in such…

Do you believe that all women are capable of happily having sex daily with the right "lover"? Isn't part of Red Pill that it can likely get you to have sex as often as you want if you put in the effort, but even then not necessarily with a specific woman (such as your wife)? That is also why "Nexting" is part of the game, no? I have very limited experience so I'm not in a position to dispute it, but humans have such variability in so many things that these seem to be one of those overly literall…

Frivorce is a portmanteau including frivolous https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Portmanteau I didn't make it up, I've seen it a few times in Red Pill discussion. Your metaphor was worth reading and made me think of a funny idiom for the German speakers: Es geht um die Wurst.

You are a lucky man in the sense that because she found out, she wants to cancel. Don't get married. "Do BCAAs work? Maybe. Maybe not. Can they hurt anything, aside from the $10/month missing from your wallet? No. So you might as well take them anyway." That kind of mentality helps stuff like homeopathy have so many customers. http://whatstheharm.net/homeopathy.html I'm not saying BCAAs work (more than the placebo effect) or not, but if it doesn't work then "you might as well take them anyway" is not the best Frame. Thanks this is good info as usual. I'm still above 60% of my current Bench Press and around 45% of my back squats, so I'll keep going for now. In this light it makes sense I'd plateau so early and so frequently on OHP as in SL5x5 they are all following a linear progression (Squats increase 2x as fast if you don't plateau, as they are in both of the workouts).

The book "When I say no I feel guilty" covers this with some specific examples. It was already mentioned by someone else. It also covers other scenarios and more importantly, specific techniques like "fogging" that are very useful to deal with shit tests and other stuff in LTRs and other interactions (with salespeople, at work, etc.). One of the best examples in the book is a dude whose own dad pressured him to stay in a bad marriage.

3A is a gray area but I think any kind of acceptance of transactional sex (even with "payment after") is to be avoided like the plague. Pre-payment is worse than paying after (particularly as women aren't necessarily honouring the deal after), but "paying" in any way is not compatible with the mentality that you are the Prize.

I disagree, I think focusing on her pleasure over your own is a beta trait, but you don't need to be 100% selfish to be alpha. Giving the wife an orgasm should contribute to her bonding with you and seeing you as alpha, as long as you have some dominance. SGM is part of the sidebar here after all. I think when the female orgasms around the same time as the male or a bit after it increases the chance of pregnancy, but if I recall correctly if she orgasms before it doesn't increase the chance that…

I agree, some examples would be in safely (but decisively) merging into highways or not waffling about where to park the car (I read somewhere when taking someone new on a date it is good to decisively take the first spot instead of driving around looking for one; and then decide quickly what you want to eat instead of staring at the menu for ages).

I think you are erroneously thinking that the experienced guys (like Rollo) advocate planned, shall I say "artificial", active dread. My understanding is that what is advocated is not artificial, that this kind of dread will probably not work or backfire, and that the women see through it. The idea is to just to be a guy who is sufficiently competent at SMV as a whole (which will include a bit of "game" and flirting) to have other women show interest. The wife witnessing that interest is inciden…

You apparently have the goal of being in a significantly better relationship within 2 years, which sounds pretty reasonable. That is good, because in the excitement of the new knowledge you have to realize that while you have to start putting the effort in today, you are going to have to keep improving and you are not likely to have noticeable improvements overnight. Whether consciously or subconsciously, my wife also often asked and asks for stuff right before sex, or other tests. Even now that there are (at least arguably) cash and prizes, women still don't want to show up. One of the likely reasons they still don't want to show up is actually because the men are nerdy. I vaguely recall girls/women admitting as much, and probably you can google for examples. Take my advice with lots of salt as you can check from my post history I'm no expert. You are talking too much. Telling her pushing you away is counterintuitive and reminding her about the marriage seems like negotiating desire. Try wrestling her (without hurting her) if she pushes you away, but stop if she gives you a hard no. You also didn't need "It's good to know where we're at" nor "I'm going to watch tv". Another good look at why low N count matters so much for marriage stability. Also, women don't need to have sex with a Chad to become Alpha Widows to them sometimes, which also indicates that Chad may have other memory flags, even ones that aren't directly sexual (leadership comes to mind). So within this perspective, a man may want to add her father into the line of men who claimed the territory and supplant some of those memories as well. Good specific advice here. Owning it, not apologizing, and use the opportunity to simultaneously strengthen the marriage through this "gesture". You will have dread for at least a while, her hamster will keep spinning that if she drops the ball it will be easy for you to get some on the side.

This time I'm siding with Cad over BPP. I think apologizing is a mistake. If you apologize she is also more likely to assume you cheated and are trickle truthing her (probably what she would do if it was the other way around). Don't say it was for validation either. Acknowledge she is upset, possibly delete the account, but don't explain too much and don't apologize.

I'm not an expert by any means, I think the wedding band may actually help. Maybe it acts as a confidence boost. I think many girls will either subconsciously take it either as pre-selection or feeling more comfortable because you are probably not trying to have sex with them. Either of which is good as, as 0io says, the goal isn't to have sex with the cold approach (at least in my case), so even if they are more comfortable, as long as they are engaged in the conversation it is good.

Pursuing women (without them pursuing you) is clearly beta rather than alpha. Don't do that in front of your wife (and don't do it to your wife).

I started taking cold showers as well and after 1 week it doesn't take that much willpower anymore (for me). Keep doing it, your exercise capacity is also limited but you still go to the gym. You are stretching your max capacity in case you need it.

I already knew passive agressive was the wrong move anyway, but only after Red Pill I realized that, as much as I would like it to be different, there seems to be little point explaining most stuff to the wife. This was after much evidence it didn't work, I just didn't want to see it for what it was.

It has been discussed elsewhere but it is an iterated prisoner's dilemma. The problem is some women will not know how to play, and instead of tit-for-tat (which is a reasonable strategy), they withdraw sex (tit) you withdraw emotionally (tat) and instead of realizing they got correctly punished for being too greedy, they may think the husband's tat was the initial tit. But most of the times, the tits were in the woman from the start (pun intended). EDIT: I thought I should add that she may have …

Related question: what to say if getting asked directly why I left? I left the house recently, right after a failed attempt at sex. I calmly kissed her, got up, got dressed and left for about 1 hour. When I got back she was livid and I was interrogated why I left, where I'd been etc. Suggestions beyond STFU'ing? Also I probably shouldn't have left right away, need to work on that.

You have a point in calling out the presentation in many of TRP's reddit posts for being too bitter. In my opinion, The Rational Male (on the side bar) is almost 0% unnecessary bitterness, if you stay out of the comment section. The Red Pill is unavoidably bitter for the vast majority though, not because of how the praxeology is presented, but because the truth that is exposed runs so counter to the Blue Pill expectations.

I would like to share more specific details but I'm paranoid about being identified. I know what I have to do in some areas (lift, get stronger, put on weight while decreasing body fat). I am pleasantly surprised that I rather enjoy lifting weights. I know more or less what I should do in other areas, like the job (but not exactly how to do it and need also to convince myself that I must do some stuff). I was reading several other accounts of hypergamy and in many cases nodding my head laughing and thinking "Of course, this is really how women are". When I was reading Saving the Best I was motionless and mirthless. My wife was a virgin when we married and I'm as sure as I can be without snooping that she hasn't cheated (although she must have had plenty of opportunities logistically)... But there is something about Saving the Best that is just chilling and it got to me as well.

That thread is a bit on the depressing side but the top chilling one for me remains "Saving the best". The problem with only initiating when I want is that with the quantity (and quality) I'm getting, I really do want it whenever she is around. The point of : "Girls don’t like fake alphas who had to learn how to be successful. They want guys who “just get it”." is not that it makes rational sense for your (or my) male brain. It doesn't. Your comparison with the college recruiter is valid in that sense. You have some great points and you know a lot more about the subject although I'm not sure I agree with the conclusion. In any case Greek mythology is rife with alternate versions and even more possible interpretations, which reinforces the point that it should not be used as "proof RP works" made by Andre. The plot device of using Helen as a starting point of the war is tied to Paris choosing Aphrodite's bribe over the other bribes, so while the war was about honor and justice (particularly for…

I'm pretty sure I did wake her up (not intentionally) but I actually don't think she went to the kitchen thinking of avoiding sex. I just tried to initiate when she got back and even sleepy she is smart enough to know that wouldn't deter me. The best tactic for that would have been to pretend she is still asleep. Any problem is easy if you already know the solution. I'm still very early in learning Red Pill, but I still think you are overstating things. If it was THAT easy there wouldn't be so many oblivious, blatantly obvious Beta Bucks guys around. Helen of Troy didn't belong to Menelaus, it was just his turn. Paris wasn't even necessarily Alpha, as Helen was his "prize" due to him taking Aphrodite's bribe in the "beauty pageant" for the Apple of Discord. From the OP's description he sent the woman light flirting only and without leaving traces. I wouldn't increment that via any overt Beta game. Being passive and not making a move is also part of Beta game and she should eventually lose interest from assuming he lacks the balls to do anything, but maintains plausible deniability as it won't leave evidence. Therefore, if she gets pissed off at mistaking him for an alpha, the amount of damage she can do to his marriage is limited. If it comes to th…

As Red Pill, you shouldn't care what age gap is acceptable. Don't marry. Vet the LTR properly before kids http://therationalmale.com/2015/10/10/the-vetting-process/ If you are trying to get a fairly low N count woman that probably requires you to "cradle rob" a bit. I think it is dangerous in this situation if he runs Beta game. If he wasn't in a relationship that would work to lose her interest, but given that he is married the stakes are higher. The wife's friend may get pissed thinking she mistook a beta for an alpha, apparently women hate that, and she may get back at him by telling the wife (and if she has the texts she has proof).

The current legal setting of the marriage contract (with no fault divorce and such) doesn't work for the majority of men, precisely because the vows are just fluff. I think a properly prepared pre-nup can help to enforce against infidelity (in the sense that they may protect the man from divorce rape to some financial extent). I get what you are saying but at the end it is not that men need to earn the wife's attention, that is not the man being in his own frame. Men should do their stuff (lift, read, etc), become and stay valuable and keep up with the burden of performance... Due to your particular circumstances (out of other veterans here in MRP, you are one of the few) I have a question. What are your motivations to have plates? The usual one spouted here would be to inspire dread, or to give yourself an abundance mentality. You apparently weren't getting dread from it but you certainly have the abundance mentality! You seem to want to pay for the kid if it is yours, but not if it isn't, so that seems like you can position yourself to have Outcome Independence given that you are not married. Inform yourself if she can claim for child support without proving you are the father, giving you are not married. Then assume the kid isn't yours until proven otherwise, and it is her move.
/r/askMRP16/11/15 03:36 PM

It is easy for her to say it is her kid, it would be pretty hard for it not to be, given the kid is inside her uterus and all. She won't be able to understand your viewpoint because she was never in a position where she could be unknowingly investing in a kid that wasn't (genetically) hers. You can understand her viewpoint after (if) the paternity test shows you it is your kid.

Absolutely need to deal with this properly. This weekend my STFU didn't stick and while I managed to deflect it, it didn't feel like I had "passed", so I expect it to come up again. Prior and after to the overt "are you trying a new strategy" I'm also getting classics like "you are being selfish", "you just want me for sex", but those are easier to STFU or AA for me. I didn't expect her to confront me overtly so early.

The kid is either yours or isn't. If it isn't, pushing for the paternity test is the best solution by far. Even if the kid is yours (which you can't know without the test), pushing for the test is still your best option, otherwise as I said above you prove to her she can manipulate you with the threat of her leaving. Marriages are hard enough even when they start on a better foundation than this level of mutual distrust. Don't marry her, get a paternity test (if she leaves due to that, fine). Pay what you need for child support if kid is yours. If she intentionally wants to be a single mother just because you pushed for the test, that shows severe lack of judgment from her. Frankly the most significant benefit I have from finding out Red Pill is not more sex but more peace of mind. Prior to Red Pill I used to be bothered by a lot of stuff from her. I wouldn't care from a stranger, but from someone you like and that supposedly likes you it can sting. The worst stuff she ever pulled on me (from my perspective) is taking swings to slap me. I usually dodged it easily, and the few times she caught me by surprise it is not that it hurt that much physically. I also hate e…

Thank you. This is what I needed to read (and I really need to get on reading WISNIFG). Thanks also to the others, particularly [deleted].

Certainly a good point, I'm failing to STFU, and my "natural" response to things is to try to understand and explain, which has certainly not worked very well with the wife (but I thought here it was appropriate). I care why I am being a clingy bitch because if I understand it I can better take action :)

Is it that I'm residual BP and expecting her to love me like I love women (rather than how women love men)? Its confusing to me, because I think I now accept shit tests as necessary, but I still think that saying some stuff is going too far into actual disrespectful territory.

I'm not so good with feelings but I believe it bothers me because in my mind, someone that likes and respects me wouldn't do it, and therefore her behavior implies that she does not like and respect me. I could very easily do the same to her about her parents (Pressure Flip / Flip the script? Would probably seem butt hurt). Unlike my parents, they very directly pulled some nasty stuff on her and on us in the past. I moved on, because I like her, and because if I like her I don't do this to her. …

Hi Sepean, you suggested somewhere Stronglifts 5x5 and adding chinups or pull ups to it. Can you elaborate on this please? Also, here you are suggesting lift to failure, which is SL 5x5 does not suggest. Is your suggestion of lifting to failure meant for people that already have a strong basis (like you presumably do) and have already started plateauing on SL 5x5?

One of the most (if not the most) consistently advocated advice in Red Pill is to lift weights. I think it is important to start emphasizing diet and rest as much as "go lift" is emphasized already. I started only one month ago and as someone new to this I can only recommend anyone else on the fence to just start taking better care of your body: Eat, Sleep, Lift (much better than Eat, Pray, Love) If you need specific advice you can also try to PM TRP user: https://www.reddit.com/user/GayLubeOil …

SL5x5 alternates between 5 sets of 5 reps of Squats, Bench Press, Barbell Row (session A) and 5 sets of 5 reps of Squats, Overhead Press, and 1 set of 5 reps Deadlift (session B). But basically my question is how much time I need to rest to let the muscles develop after submitting them to the stress. There was a recent post about this: https://www.reddit.com/r/TheRedPill/comments/3r3fyb/if_you_dont_sleep_you_might_as_well_not_lift/ If I still feel sore from the previous session, should I do the …

In SL 5x5 the suggestion is to do 3x /week, with a rest day (and at least two nights) between sessions. Unfortunately I travel and am periods away from the gym and to make it up a bit I would want to try 4x a week. Like Tuesday and Thursday, but get in both Saturday morning and Sunday evening (only one night sleep between those sessions, but some extra hours). I also do slightly more cardio type of exercise on Wednesday, Friday and sometimes Saturday. I have an "Ectomorph" body type so it is pos…

In the book some of the laws have a "reversal" whereas some don't. The ones with a "reversal" are the ones more likely to have a directly contradicting law somewhere else on the book, while the ones where the author writes something like "This law admits no reversal" are more likely to benefit you all the time.

Some of the laws very directly contradict each other. There isn't a simple answer, you need to read situations and decide what is the best approach. Also, some people will get more out of the book than others.

A lot of the Red Pill guys here will be doing some other physical activity, like cycling. You will just have to schedule the weight lifting on days when you don't surf, and get a reasonable rest day in between. When you are just squeezed on time maybe do some body weight exercises at home. A strong benefit of weights over other alternatives is that you can squeeze the same "volume" of workout in relatively little time because you can control the weight (lowering repetitions), something which you…

Won't this make you tired for the following set? I'm around 1 month in in SL 5x5, for reference, and that suggests 90 seconds rest between sets.

This discussion is useful for me. I don't want oral (not exactly sure why) but my wife made several comments that make me strongly suspect it would be sufficient for me to ask, which given her reluctance for the rear-entry positions was always a bit puzzling for me. I only had 1 crappy attempt at doggy and then 1 proper doggy once. I could get spooning with sex on request though, but that is not the same. I also had a crappy attempt at reverse cowgirl one other time. These rear-entry PiV positio…

The tuition part of the loan should indeed go directly to the University, but the part of the living expenses would always have to go through the student. It is easier to prevent this kind of abuse - just demand return of the loan if the student drops out or similar. The rule that the loan is only repaid if the salary goes above X is also easy to abuse - it could be changed such that a small percentage is repaid until death, and if the salary really is that low and the person dies without repayi…

I'm new to Red Pill. My marriage has often had problems - fights, less sleep, less time and such things. In the past I believe my marriage has detracted from my performance at work. I still think my marriage has been overall positive in my life as a total, but the effect on my work was overall negative. I hope that if I can turn around and have a "Red Pill" marriage it will actually be overwhelmingly positive in total, and also overall positive on my work.

My basic point is that some videogames (not all) can be "lifting for the mind", more so than many books.

I think that the really great games appeal to almost everyone (Tetris may be a good example). Many people have a negative opinion of them regardless of any logical reasoning I can put forth, which is a valid point to be considered. The same can be said about reading books though, it is not something that will tag you as "alpha" for most women I think, but hopefully not many in this sub will doubt the value of reading for a Red Pill man. Even crappy "pay to win" games appeal to a lot of people (t…

I was hesitant to post something like this as I'm new to Red Pill knowledge, but that is my stance. On the other hand, my wife once snooped on me (and confessed it) so now I password protect some of my stuff for privacy's sake (that includes Red Pill stuff). Maybe I should unlock the stuff again, to be 100% IDGAF?

Why is lifting, reading and video games not "hobbies"? Lifting and reading in particular are very much advocated for in the community. I know in particular video games are viewed very negatively in the community, but I disagree with that if it is done in moderation. There are many games and video games which teach the player a lot of relevant concepts (many of which are even parts of Red Pill), they can develop reflexes, strategic thinking. Chess and Go are classic examples, which I don't even p…

Thanks, I'm fairly certain I got "arousal" sex (not duty) in vacations and was trying to figure it out. In my case probably also related with doing "action dates" like hiking and stuff, while on other locations, must have made me appear more alpha.

1st story, the younger brother that got "blessed with all the good genes", they are so different that it makes me wonder if there was also an AF/BB move pulled by his mother (i.e. brother may be from a different biological father).

I think the guy used as example in Rollo's blog post posted a sequel with a new nickname (so maybe was just a sock puppet). If it was true the guy stuck around with the girl for at least a bit further, having negotiated that she had to do everything with him (and she was). He had scheduled a 3-some (he had invited someone from his work, but she vetted that, he told her then you have to get someone, she got a friend). No news after that but I don't think it could have ended well. Negotiated desir…

I can't know how these guys felt but I think the worst is not that the women in question did these things in the past, or even hid the truth (while keeping the proof around in many cases). I think the worst for the guys in situations like these is that the women's "best" for them so clearly demonstrates: she doesn't genuinely desires him.

I have this situation myself. Now that I understand what is going on I sometimes find it hilarious and either get a "shit-eating grin" or outright start laughing. She isn't too keen on that... How can I convey (without losing frame) that I'm not making fun of her.

I think the book is beautiful although I find it quite sad. I haven't read it since learning about the Red Pill though. The Prince definitely has Oneitis for the Rose, but he still realises the Rose is not treating him properly and leaves. Eventually when he reaches Earth, the Prince sees a whole field of roses and weeps because he realises his Rose isn't unique. The part with the Fox follows that. And then there is the ending.

Your attitude seems very typical of parents. Just because I don't have and don't want kids does not mean my opinion is valueless. It is not a question of me selfishly wanting red pill kids. There is a real risk that trying to do what I consider is helping the kids could deteriorate my relationship with their Blue Pill parents. Selfish in this context would be me not caring about the kids and not doing anything even though I can. I'm very glad that Rollo is spreading this knowledge around and tha…

Good post, one of the things I was thinking about prior to learning about the Red Pill. Even though I don't have kids (and don't want them, much less now), I now wonder what my role should be with respect to kids of my friends or family members who are probably not Red Pill themselves.
