Neither do you have to put up with her sh1t (cos those aren’t sh1t tests, those are just sh1t) for the sake of the kids or anything else for that matter. Weird then that you mention money also, that you have to be a 1% earner and also something non-sequitur about her inheritance? Faithful plowhorse much? Bottom line is you are walking on eggshells and tortuously rationalizing sh1tty spousal behavior. Blowing up on your wife would likely yield more positive results than stoicism. Sounds like your FIL was a stoic in a culture that likely put women in their place, how’d that work out for him?
