Not sure if this can go here or belongs in AskTRP but was seeking mostly married RP input. Seeking to know how I can improve Stoic wise and how my frame held up. Especially since I am still an RP noob.

Last night like we do semi often my wife and I spoke on the phone on my commute home. I could tell off the bad she was in a mood. Stress from work. Nearing the house she mentions buying cookies when shed stopped at the mall for a ring cleaning (something id told her to do for insurance on the darn thing) while there she is hungry and buys something like 5 cookies (the fact she bought 5 due to some dumbass sale and not just 1 pissed me off). As she has joined me in my dieting and workouts I said something like "thats a lot of calories and tanks the diet youve been on" quite matter of factly. She went uber pissy and we ended the phone call after I rose my voice about the fact she is pissy about her day and yet I left the house before her and was arriving home after her and had worked a 12 hr day (Probably not Stoic, but I remained calm with her). When I got home I walked the dog and then came in and began doing the dishes. The dishes is usually her territory and she quickly took it over. We chirped a bit at eachother in tones, my urging her that I hadnt intended to worsen her mood and that she shouldnt take her bad work day out on me. As she finished working on the dishes I tinkered a bit with the AC (time to get it running for the summer) and then sat down after to play some PS4. I did make a snide comment about how "if this is how she acts after a bad day I cant wait for mood swings in pregnancy" as we have sorta begun trying to a family. I said it with intent to dread, as she knows I am torn in the kid department. After she completed the dishes she retreated to the bedroom and I continued my gaming until I began preparing dinner. I cooked and she came out to make salad. Rest of the night was fairly quiet, and she did apologize this morning both in person and via text.

Appreciate input and advice. Our marriage is really pretty rock solid and fights are very rare. I know I wasnt perfect in it but Id like to think I handled it well.
