I come from a culture in which marriages are arranged by the families of the prospective bride and groom. There has been a lot of traction in my family in regards to me getting married soon, so I wanted to see if there are others on this subreddit who understand the situation. You might be in an arranged marriage or you might have married someone from a vastly different culture who subscribes to their cultural norms.

About Me: I am Indian by ethnicity, but westernized in mentality, personal values and culture. I grew up (birth to HS graduation) in the Middle East, spent the better part of a decade (studies + work) in a western nation, spent a few years in India (studies + work) and now am back in the Middle East (work). I am 30 and slightly overweight. I've been aware of the concept of the red pill for a while, a friend of mine introduced me to the PUA scene in 2012, but I could never get myself interested in it. A year or so ago, I came to know about the red pill, and for about a month now, I have spent what free time I have (not a lot) going through the recommended reading list and implementing changes in my life.

I am not here to debate the merits or demerits of my situation, just curious as to whether there are others from similar cultural backgrounds who have swallowed the red pill and applied it to their situation.

My question is, does all that is preached by the Red Pill philosophy apply to you/your situation? Or is it a variation of it? For e.g.: AWALT is not something I initially believed was true, but having thought about it for some time, I believe that AWALT applies to Indian women as well, just not in the same way as prescribed by (the largely western mentality and experience that influence the writings of) the Red Pill.

I am not here to cause strife, rather I am here to find clarity and understanding in my thoughts of how I would apply TRP principles in my situation. There are some significant cultural differences between mine and the western world, and I believe I have to adapt and modify what I have learned in order to utilize them effectively. The issue I face is that although (as stated above) I am culturally westernized, my potential SO is unlikely to be the same, she might very well be someone born and raised in India - or like me, born and raised as an expat, but still - adhering to Indian values and mentality.

I feel that if I were to follow all of TRP blindly, implementing all that it says in the 'textbook' way, it would cause issues in the union that would not come up otherwise. Obviously, this does not apply to every single thing, say for example lifting or frame or ONEitis, but I feel that incorrectly used, things like dread would not go over so well.
