She's at the beginning, playing tit-for-tat with mysterious outings. Very important that you don't rise to her bait and even wonder what she's up to. Keep up with having your own life and not being obvious about inspiring dread. Basketball game with your bud, beers after work, stopping on way home for some hobby-related thing, etc. Break the daily routine with: your absence, as few details as possible, and something that you need/want to do anyway.

Bro, the proper response is mostly individual to your marriage. You have to decide what to do. We can only tell you a few firm concepts- like don't sleep on the couch. Don't be afraid of your wife's emotions.

What to do in the exact moment is almost totally individual. At some point you would want to hug your wife and reassure her that these changes are going to make your life and your marriage better. Doesn't look like that is your case, not for about 9 months or so.

You are on the right track. It is a long road bro.

My advice is to make sure you don't act butthurt and wronged by her turning you down for sex. Keep initiating and keep head held high when she declines.

It's too soon for dread but if you hold frame and become a little less available then you are setting the table for some real change.

Make sure you are not a complete dick and are there to take care of her emotions while taking 100percent charge of your own. You don't need anything.from her. Any favors or errands that you normally do..keep doing them.

Perhaps a kind word from time to time as if u "forgot" what you are working on here.

Next time don't sleep on the couch. Barge into the bedroom, turn on the lights, act like she's not there and you're getting ready for bed. If it wakes her up, fuck it, she shouldn't have gone to bed early without telling you.

Next time a chick mentions she has a boyfriend, ask her slyly, 'u want a man friend?'. It will come off douchy but whatever.

Two reasons I believe she is doing this.

She wants you to text to see how much power she has over you. Because you did the same. If you text her asking where she is, you appear on equal terms, no cause for alarm. If you don't text, it appears you have more power and she starts to feel dread. If you text more than she did, she knows she has more power.
If you text and start demanding where she is, she will use that against you when you go out. Then try to start an arguement.

Don't lie about what you do, that appears weak and that you don't have the balls to tell her the truth.

You could have said went to the vet, walked the dog and a young 20 girl tried hitting on you, stating you still got it with a smirk. Or just said you were out.

Never sleep on the couch. This journey will take a while.
