So this is a mixture of post types but I don't know how to put two Flair tags on it. It is half rant, but also a genuine question. I seem to keep stumbling into situations where the topic of discussion is the Patriarchy. Naturally, am not convinced that that exists anymore and I let that be known. I could potentially write a book about all of the ways in which I don't believe it is true, but when in an online forum I try to be concise, which makes my comments less clear.

My question is how does everyone else here deal with the subject? Do you think it is still a problem or do you think The Matriarchy replaced it? Theses are just some of the questions I try to answer when I find myself in that kind of conversation, but my replies have a great deal of expletives in them which admittedly can derail my whole argument. I will admit that is a bit lackluster for an Etymologist/Philologist. What are some non-curse word-y ways to approach this subject?
