How the fuck would this come up on a regular basis? Perhaps you need to find a better group of people to hang out with and this will stop happening.

Consider how they intend to fight the patriarchy, quotas, gimmes, destruction of those who hold prestige with false accusations, etc.

Then realize that all this time the patriarchy has been known to you by another name.

If there ever were a patriarchy, it would be women, not men, who are and were disposable.

The patriarchy never existed. The way you deal with it is to ask them why they value such a theory. What benefit does the belief in a patriarchy hold for you?

It's like telling a kid the tooth fairy doesn't exist. If the kid has a reason to believe in it, no amount of explanation will convince them the tooth fairy is a myth.

I think we live in a meritocracy if nothing else. The fact that a woman nearly became the US president in 2016, won at the ballots, and had the support of most media outlets disproves that we live in a patriarchy; alongside the fact that more and more congresswomen are being appointed.

Patriarchy never existed, matriarchy isn't it either (some men still have real power, and a lot of it). Basically both genders have unique advantages when it comes to political power. "Gynocentrism" is a good way to describe the female version (which has its disadvantages, search around for the term "hypoagency" for a good example of how gynocentrism can be both beneficial and not), whereas the male version could be perhaps considered a combination of wealth-inequality (the richest woman is such because she married a wealthy man) and hyperagency (this being a mixed bag, but it lends itself to power and can be beneficial from the right starting point).

As far as patriarchy not existing, I made this. It is by no means the best takedown of the term, but approaches it systematically and covers some important points.

I dont understand how they yell my friend to kill himself and he gets banned for it when he turns around and tells her might as well stab yourself .

Of course the women always win .
