I'm having a difficult time reconciling the contradictory reactions I'm seeing from an apparent schizophrenic society concerning rape. On one hand there are horror stories of people like Rehtaeh Parsons and Audrie Pott who committed suicide not only because they were gangraped, but because photos of the act were spread and the perpetrators were not only not arrested for rape or even distribution of child pornography, the victims were actually bullied.

This doesn't make any sense when I read stories about people killed by mobs of white knights when the man was falsely accused or stories like Brian Banks who was convicted without evidence, just a "she said" was enough to send him to prison. Can r/mensrights tell me what the fuck is going on? Do people who murder the falsely accused and those who shame and bully actual rape victims congregate separately or something?
