Feminism advocates advantages for women and discrimination against men. It’s very sexist. An egalitarian or equal opportunity view is inherently anti-feminist. You can’t support equality and support advantaging women over men, they are contradictory views.

I get it. I’m not comfortable with feminism at all. It champions girls for the future but not boys. I wish there was more male centered empowerment talk. Instead boys are conditioned to think they’re gross or the problem. And I love boys a lot, so many have cool interests and are smarter than our world gives them credit for.

Damn I thought it was common sense that feminism is nothing more than an ideology. Not supporting solely doesn’t make one sexist. And I’ve always thought that people who continue to imply that are just being disingenuous. Not everybody who’s for equality is a feminist (a poll that was taken in uk is an example of that too)

Unfortunately alot of ‘feminists’ dont go very far into their though process or values and are influenced by the wrong group in feminism. The kind that thinks its the right way to go is by genuinely hating men, like i can understand frustration from being mistreated but there is no justification to attack every man for it. They think it’s empowering to paint with period blood or say ‘kill all men’. It’s unfortunate that these people have been able to influence your idea of feminism as a whole, and I think its so easy for them to do that because of their methods- like going to a mans post and just throwing words around. I dont think they even understand what all the words they use mean. They just heard it on twitter once and ran with it. I hope you dont think all feminists are like this though, I think the rest get swept under a rug in media because they dont resort to extreme measures to get a ‘message’ across.
