Can I have a quick and frank discussion with men regarding the topic of women who claim they have too many conversations going on dating apps as an excuse?

I see this thrown around occasionally by women who, when using dating apps, will toss this out there about being unable to adequately keep up with convos on dating apps as a reason why one guy in particular got lost in the shuffle. And although I only see this used occasionally, I have continued to see its use over a period of years.

Allow me to be specific.

Matches are the number of guys who have swiped right or otherwise are attempting to match with a woman in order to get a conversation going. This may also be referred to as likes. So when a woman says she has 200+ matches (or likes), this is that number you sometimes see on different dating apps indicating the number of people who have expressed an interest in you. It's also this number that women like to throw around to show how many guys are interested in them.

Convos or conversations are the number of active conversations a person has with an individual because the two of you have already matched with each other. In order to get to this point, both participants have to choose to match with each other.

Now whenever I see various threads, or replies on different topics where a woman will say something like "do you know how hard it is to keep up with all my matches, you need to be more engaging to keep my interest" or some variation of this. Most all discussion topics just seem to roll with this, however I've begun trying to call out women who engage in this behavior. What women AREN'T saying is that they have chosen to match with so many guys, thus beginning the conversation stage, that she has so many conversations going that she can't keep up. In other words, the woman CHOSE to match with that many guys.

You don't just have dozens or hundreds of conversations suddenly flooding you all at once that you can't keep up. Potential matches, sure. But not active conversations.
