PUA is old thinking. Instead look at it as self-improvement (good social skills) and being aware of your surroundings (being able to read people, including women). Combined with understanding how status, grooming, and fitness works in regards to attraction and you've just learned the core elements of "game".

It's a lot simpler than a lot of people realize. All the gambits and routines in the PUA community are just training wheels used to teach/improve all these parts of social interaction and interpersonal communications. This is why when people become game savvy they get better jobs, are better paid, clerks offer them discounts, and so on. It's not just about getting women, it's about becoming the best (social) version of yourself. Do that and you'll be better with women almost as a side-effect.

You approach this subject from the wrong angle. Not everybody has to be the same or learn the same skillsets. But if you want something, learning the relevant skills always helps. If you want to become a great cook, you have to learn and practice a lot.

Nowadays it is herecy to claim that handling romantic relationships is just like any other subject; it can be done right or wrong, it can be learned and practiced. Most guys are shamed into believeing that learning and practicing this stuff is "bad", because you should just be yourself^TM which is of course a half-truth at best, an outright lie at worst.

But yeah, I understand, why would you want to learn how to handle relationships at all, it's only the most important thing in most everbody's life. When more than half of marriages result in divorce (meaning losing your family, kids, house, and half your shit in general, in addition to a huge chunk of your income for the next 10-20 years), and those marriages which are intact are often sexless and miserable, what reason do you have to learn game, really?

Another misconception is that learning how to handle relationships equals becoming a crazed womanizer (PUA). There are tons of guys out there practicing game on their wives, to make their marriages more stable.

The next misconception is that game is something artificial and there are two kinds of people: one who learn it and one who don't. Actually "game" is innate to most men to a degree; it's playful banter, teasing, having a good time generally. Those friends of yours who you think will succeed probably have some degree of "natural game". Not everybody needs to unlearn the feminist indoctrination, but many do, actually. Your mileage may vary.

Congratulations. You're a mature adult. Enjoy your normal relationships with other adults.

That said, confidence is a normal trait that all people should have. You should always be willing to stand up for yourself and make sure your wants and needs are addressed. You don't, however, need to be some kind of controlling alpha male to do so.

You don`t have to do anything but there are benefits from learning about the stuff you mention. Though learning it does bot require exactly what you seem to think it does.

Half of all marriages lead to divorce and amongst those who do there is still cheating in a lot of them and many are low sex and not all that happy so regardless of mens issues etc. there is still good life quality reasons to learn how to do it right. In addition there are many aspects to female psychology and human psychology that are not recognized in mainstream culture that are very beneficial to learn about and learn how to handle.

You don`t have to become a super alpha but there is good reason to take on a bit of a leading role in LTRs with women, to know what shit tests are and how to pass them and where you should be as a man to pass them naturally, to know some basics about female attraction and behavior in LTRs, to know about the betaiztion process, to know about female communication in sex and dating and LTRs etc. Those things combined with a healthy self esteem and healthy boundaries and knowing how to spot nice guy behaviors that are really just duplicating and probably something you have picked up growing up in a feminized and feministizised culture, would be a good idea.

There are no certainties in life. You don't have to do any particular thing, and you have a chance of both success and failure regardless of what strategy you choose when approaching any particular challenge. However, your chances of success are much better when choosing a strategy that is appropriate to the challenge you are facing.

There are healthy relationships based on every conceivable power dynamic, and if you have a firm idea of how your ideal relationship works then you should pursue that and refuse to settle for less.

With all that said, though: the observable reality of human biologically-influenced behavior is that there are a lot of women- many more than almost anyone is willing to admit- who are happiest and find their most stable and fulfilling relationships in a male-led dynamic. They may not acknowledge it; they may not even consciously be aware of it; but our primitive, subconscious hindbrains don't care what our rational minds think.

You don't have to agree with me or believe me. Just make a note to yourself that someone gave you this hint. If at some point in the future you find your mate acting in ways that are incomprehensible to you- if she appears to be unhappy or dissatisfied with you even though your behavior is examplary according to the standards of mutual respect and peership that you believe in, or if perhaps she cheats on you with a guy who exhibits the alpha behaviors you reject- remember that someone gave you this hint, and consider the possibility that what someone tells you she wants may not actually be what she needs.

Its bullshit. There is a study that shows rates of dominance by gender in 32 different countries including the most patriarchal ones like Iran and Mexico - sometimes there is a dominant man, sometimes there is a dominant woman, sometimes there is switching.
