As I have said before this is illegal in the EU. In the UK the easiest way to stop it is to contact the Licensing authoprity and request they cancel the alcohol licence. Take a picture as evidence. In Spain call the police. Point out article.

All EU countries were required to implement the directive by the end of 2007.

Dude thats not that big of a deal. I went to Honk Hong's night club spot, a street full of bars. It was called lang kuai fung (not sure on the spelling). There was this club called Dragon-i, apparently it was THE club to go to celeb hang out and shit. I went there with my cousins and some friends there were about 10 of us, 4 girls 6 guys. They wouldn't let the other 2 guys in, because they said they wanted to keep balance between men and women. literally 30 seconds later they let a huge group of women in, but they still didn't wanna let the other 2 guys in. Even after arguing with the bouncer they only let 8 people in, 4 guys and 4 girls. But we aren't assholes to let the other 2 stay out by themselves, so as soon as 8 people got in 2 girls went out and got the other 2 guys in. So fuck you Dragon-i for refusing entrance to paying customers based on their gender.

Clubs are business, they want girls in bars because it brings the men in. The men are generally the ones who spend more money.

Bars let girls enter free because they know men will pay for their drinks.

They also know that one girl attracts at least five guys to the bar, all of whom are probably willing to pay for more drinks than she is able to consume. That's why you never hear a woman complain, "Girl, that place was such a taco-fest!" It's also why a pretty girl can leave the house without any money.

It's not because of discrimination, even though discrimination is the result.

The best way to stop this kind of discrimination is to stop buying things for women you like, and to insist that a girl pay for her own things, even if you are sleeping with her. If you pay for a girl's things based on how attracted you are to her, she is going to use her sexuality to extort money from you.

In other words, if men didn't spend so much money to impress women, bars would have no incentive to let women in for free.

A bar is probably more worried about selling drinks and attracting people to the club than they are worried about social responsibility, and gender discrimination isn't really the only socially irresponsible thing about bars either. For example, I have several bars very near my college and the owners probably thought it they were in a great location. I do not enjoy the drunken straight guys who call me faggot and make animal sounds while driving (drunkenly) past me.

That club is doing it to get more women in to attract male customers. In other words, they are making paid sex workers of them at 15€ apiece.

In the Netherlands in some clubs you have that same principle. Most times those club are crap.

Stuff like this has happened to me before. I went to this one club because A) I knew there'd be people I know there, and B) Because entry was free. The bouncer tells me I can't enter. I asked him why not. He said "No single guys". I asked him what difference it makes, he said that's just the way it is. I told him I didn't see a sign. He wouldn't relent.

In the US this is also common. If you don't like it, you can file a lawsuit. But who has money for a lawsuit these days?

This doesn't really piss me off, what really grinds my gears is the fact that as a man i am expected to pay an additional 20-30% for my car insurance in canada. I understand that night clubs, bars and clubs need to encourage women to come in and hence allow free cover. I don't agree with it but it i understand. I dont however understand why men must pay more for car insurance
