When the police arrive, it does not matter who hit who, it is the male that will go to jail, "Duluth Model Of Domestic Violence Intervention". I have spoken to men who were arrested when they were the ones doing the bleeding.

The best thing to do is to get away if you can. Record her attacks with your cell phone if you can and send the recordings to someone before the police delete the videos. Be the first to call 911.

I worked a weekend job as security and we are hired at a variety of events and nightclubs. In two years, I was attacked by about 5 women and had to subdue countless more that were fighting.

First thing they tell you in the security gig is don't leave marks when you have to take someone down. When I'm being attacked, I get behind them and put them to sleep with a RNC (rear-naked choke) or, with chicks, typically put them in a full Nelson until I can haul them out the door. No marks, no lasting injuries, no legal case.

If I'm being jumped, I defend myself, girl or guy. But, out of necessity, the standard for me touching a girl in any capacity has to be way higher and the videos will back me up.

Sadly the questions aren't equal. Would you hit doesn't have any meaningful correlation to if you should.

If I and someone was real upset with eachother, and he hit me I would hit him back, doesn't mean I think I should. Even if both questions are correctly worded, the exact same people answers both post with no bias or knowledge that they have answered a similar one before the results are just from people on one site, which probably has a lean of it's own.

Don't really want to be a downer, but this sub has to be correct to not be cherry picked, because this is something you can cherry pick against the sub.

This is a stupid question. "Hitting someone back" is always wrong. It's chimp logic.

You hit someone if you or someone else is in danger and you have to stop them.

Otherwise you don't.

If a 90 pound man, woman, dwarf, child, hit me, I would not hit them back. There is no need.

Depends man. This is not about equality, its about physical strength and the damage you can do and the danger you are in. I support equality in theory but if this was happening to me with a woman, I would only hit her back if she was doing any sort of actual damage or putting me in danger. If she was simply getting on my nerves with her hitting, I would subdue her or walk away. With great power.... You can hit her and you have the right to but reality is that it makes you look bad to other women and to other men also.
