The reason women talk SO MUCH about misogyny is that so many of them exhibit a fair level of misandry. They're projecting onto us.

One indication of this is that women are simply in denial about the 23% wage gap. They can hear economists and studies until the cows come home - and they have - and it makes no dent in their willful belief that the entirety of that gap is due to gender discrimination. They simply have no interest in the truth. The wage gap is a rallying cry for women, and they won't have it spoiled by the truth. Misandry is probably as much about unity for women as it is about actually fearing and hating men. I wouldn't be surprised if it's actually MORE so. We are simply the enemy that justifies rampant sexism on their part: we are the excuse for women to do what they want to do.

I've long thought that women hang together in ways that men simply don't approach. And, I've read some things now that indicate that that's not a delusion. Women ARE tighter with each other than men are. As such, it seems to me that women are far more chauvinist than men ever were, and there needs to be a justification for that. Otherwise it will be seen as the chauvinism and sexism - and misandry - that it actually is. That's part of why so many women delight in their gender bigotry.

Is this the force behind all feminism? I think not. I think feminists and women simply seeking equality DO have some issues that need righting. But, I have little doubt that it's a major part of that force.
