MensRights and Feminism are opposed to each other for so many reasons. Here are a few:

  • Feminism believes MR opposes rights for women and gender equality
  • MR believes feminism opposes rights for men and gender equality
  • Feminism believes MRAs are misogynists
  • MR believes feminists are misandrists
  • Feminism is for rape awareness
  • MR is opposed to false rape claims
  • Feminism is against domestic violence towards women
  • MR is against domestic violence towards men
  • Both campaign for custody for the mother/father of the children
  • MR wants more support for mental health issues
  • Feminism wants body image to not be forced upon women
  • MR wants men to not be expected to play a gender role
  • Feminism wants women to not be expected to play a gender role

There are many many differences I grant you. Feminism believes Mens Rights Groups deny Womens Rights and visa versa.

  • MR tends to paint all feminists with the same brush
  • Feminism tends to paint as MRAs with the same brush
  • MR thinks feminists hate men
  • Feminism thinks MRAs hate women

I genuinely believe that the majority of both groups have good intentions. The way they act is out of self preservation and they can only see themselves as the targets. People need to start admitting both sexes experience sexism and gender inequality and steps to change that are not going to progress if the main agenda from both groups is to slag one another off. Use each other for a reason why there are horrible people out there.

'this is happening because of feminazis' or 'this is happening because MRA misandrists shooting'

blah blah blah

In summary, you both think the other group is out to get you. Talk to each other. Not over the internet shouting but talk. Ask constructive questions.

Find out why someone believes this, question their sources. Anecdotal evidence doesn't improve progress where as correctly cited articles do.

I know this is going to get a lot of backlash and I look forward to reading some counter views. (I'm planning on posting in both subreddits if I can)
