i found a brilliant book for my daughter called "just the job for dad". its about 2 kids looking for an exciting new job for their dad (pirate, knight, astronaut...ect.) but all of them clash with important things he does with them (putting them to bed, making dinner, taking them swimming) so in the end they are happy with the job he has, and he tells them that being a dad is his most important job anyway. its adorable.
