Naomi Murphy is a psychotherapist working at HM Prison Whitemore, a top security prison housing serious violent and sexual offenders (men, obviously). Naomi reported that 54% of the male sex offenders had been sexually abused themselves as children by women.

This latter point was confirmed by O’Brien (1989) who reports that sex offenders against male victims who had themselves a history of having been abused were more likely to have been abused by a male. Sources? Oddly, none of the sources linked in this article reflect this. I'm not saying I know differently or that this is incorrect- just that none of these studies linked reflect the message of this article and some are even in direct conflict with it.

This is cop out for the abuser to gain sympathy and become the victim, Pete Towshend with images of kids was apparently researching for his book as he was once a victim of abuse.
