Over the last few months I have noticed a steep increase in the number of posts that seem to only be polling our members on contentious issues.

I seriously hope this isn't related to the increase in posts a few months back commenting on the increased number of posts by and/or about the number of female presenting accounts that had joined or at least started posting.

TL;dr Are sock puppet accounts being turned to malicious information gathering?
