Proving stupid people wrong is fun.

Whether it's both sides of the global warming issue, religious people, racists, Feminists, MRA's, Extreme left, Extreme right, being able to destroy a stupid argument and leave your opponent with no valid discourse is fun.

Even more fun is seeing how many subreddits you can get banned from because of these actions.

Actually, I see arguing against the worst of the worst feminists as a bad thing. When you go into their echo chamber and argue with them, in their minds you are just proving them right and giving them the kind of attention they want deep down. I think the proper thing to do is ignore the worst of feminists. Just think, what would they do if they had no one to rail against in their echo chambers? The might be drawn out into the real world, that could be a good thing because in the real world it shows them how impractical and unsupportable their ideology is. Feminists forums tend to be very insulated forums... why is that? It's because their ideology can't handle exposure and inquiry.

They don't expect a retort because they think everyone is a feminist, and that no one would respond with something that basically says : stop saying dumb shit.

Every time a post like this is posted, it only discredits the actual steam behind MensRights, and the actual issues that men face. This is equivocal to the douches over on /r/atheism. Imagine if the title was "Is it wrong that I like proving theists wrong?" or even if it WAS a feminist saying "Is it wrong that I like proving MRA's wrong?", don't you bloody get it? This detracts from the cause, and makes us all look like greasy neckbeards, rather or not that is you OP, that's the image that is in their minds, and everyone who's neutral or undecided on the issue. By posting this stuff you're contributing to the decay and defamation of the image of MRAs.

It is wrong in the sense that it is not possible to convince dogmaticaly indoctrinated people. And thus a waste of time and effort. Better to teach people why it is wrong. Fun fact: Karl Marx invented it as a method of class warfare. It's working.

Have you ever had one change their mind after being proven wrong? Of course not.

That is because their positions are based on feelings, not logic. Therefore it is pointless to prove them wrong, except perhaps for personal satisfaction.

If you want to persuade them, you will have to change their feelings, not argue over truth and logic.

I love it, I've had 4 girls delete me on facebook because they copy and paste quotes off tumblr then I go on ebscohost and find they study they quote and discover the original poster on tumblr misquoted the whole study which proved the exact opposite of what they were saying. And not a single feminist I've met has anything to back up their claims other than hear say and blog posts. I swear girls becoming feminists is just a trend right now and are extremely uneducated on the subject and just like to feel like they're part of something

Nothing wrong at all. Normally when you have a serious political or philosophical debate with someone your opponent has looked at the evidence and formed their opinion around it, and you should go in expecting some firm resistance. Arguing with (the more anti-MRA brand of) feminists on the other hand is somewhat akin to arguing with young earth creationists. They have taken a stance and attempted to fit the square peg evidence into their round hole beliefs. It is a much less daunting task to argue against people that hold to strict dogma, and sometimes it is enjoyable to just knock down easy layups on them.

Unfortunately, unlike young earth creationism, feminism is taken quite seriously by a large percentage of the population.

The real winner of an argument is the person who learns the most from the process, not the person whose thesis is declared 'correct.' Second place goes to the person who helps the other learn something. So if these feminists you argue with are not changing their minds as a result of your argument, then I would not say the argument was worthwhile. If you're pleased with yourself with such a result, all you're really doing is going through an narcissistic exercise to feel validated. I suppose that's fine, but I wouldn't call it something to be proud of. Changing minds: that's something to be proud of.

Are you serving logic and truth or serving yourself?

If honest self reflection reveals that winning is more important than being unflinchingly objective, you could find yourself seduced into straying from real meaningful arguments in favour of personal attacks and anecdotal evidence.

It isn't enough to be right. If you alienate somebody so that they walk away without internalizing your arguments, they won't change their mind. If you cast your relationship with the person as enemies, then you've caused them coming to understand your position as a betrayal.

If at the end of the day, their mind is unchanged, you haven't won anything. You've only pleasured yourself. You've essentially masturbated.

Proving feminists wrong, will only make you feel good and only you. On them it will be totally wasted. In one ear out of the other, if you are lucky.

Here is why. The movement and the sub is dominated predominantly by females. From what I have seen the arguments aren't rational and highly emotionally invested. Trying to say that they are wrong only triggers emotional hooks which instantly throws rationality and logical reasoning out of the equation. Its like saying to you that the thing that you wholeheartedly believe in is a lie and illusion. Thing that you have put so much effort in and yet you have failed. People just don't like that sort of thing. Forcing people to change their views and telling them how wrong they are just don't work.

The one thing we can do is to lead by example and inspire people around us showing that our way is the right way as we believe in true equality and our way benefits both genders.

TL; DR: They aren't interested in being open minded let alone have rational discussion. Dont waste your breath.
