Clever cartoon on what can happen when a man DOES talk about his feelings.

Man is found NOT guilty of rape, but the cops keep telling his prospective employers that he "might" have done it anyway. Another reason why false allegations are so evil.

Another celebrity bubble going pop?

I've never grasped the orgasmic reaction to Peterson. He has some good points, some bad points and fallibilities in thinking, communication and presentation like so many others.

It's funny that some have created a Reddit in his name and worship him there. Short lived Cults of Personality are like that. Peterson has normally one thing in his favour which is he is rhetorically sound and rejects the premise of others questions when they are Gotchas.

But then again, any professional psychologist knows how to do that, as do so many others across fields from Politics to playgroup co-ordinators. When Peterson stays inside his own fields of expertise he is good, but when he steps outside he often prat falls.

I couldn't agree more. I love Jordan but sometimes he just needs to shut the fuck up

[–]perplexedm 5 points6 points7 points 7 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

JP was a presentable face in right time, educated one who many take in face value, could put some feminist media persons in the place they deserve. Exposed few tricks played by feminuts.

But, he have to go a long way in his analyses it seems.

[–]BeneficialBlock 5 points6 points7 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I would agree. As his work and world view is based on Biologically Driven behaviours, it gets muddled when he goes into none biological issues. He has a long way to go in bridging the gaps between Biology and Ethics, Morality and even Sanity.

[–]pvtshoebox 0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

His major fault, in my limited exposure to his philosophy through his lobster analogy and associated anecdote, is his open endorsement of needless cruel hazing rituals. He bases his endorsement on the premise that new men, without experience, are worthless to those that have it, so at least their presence should be a source of humor, lest the man be completely worthless. This is an extension of the idea of seeing men as human "doings" and not human beings.

[–]DavidByron2 4 points5 points6 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

How's that going to happen when the story is unfalsifiable?

[–]Wisemanner 5 points6 points7 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I would guess that Kavanaugh would find it impossible to clear his name completely after all these years.

[–]AnotherDAM 2 points3 points4 points 7 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

ThePigmanLIESAgain:

Jordan's actual tweet:

I'm not certain that is the right move. It's very complex. But he would have his name cleared, and a figure who might be less divisive might be put forward.

While Jordan is "wrong" that BK would have his name cleared - he would simply fade into obscurity he isn't wrong that a less divisive figure might have been put forward.

But then again Jordan isn't an American and he doesn't fundamentally understand that our elections have different consequences than the more touchy-feelie Canadian "why can't we all just get along" mentality.

I will be voting this fall, and I will be voting straight Republican as a "fuck you" to Feinstein and the Democratic leadership that staged this little show.

The headline is Breitbart's, not mine. You are an idiot.

[–]AnotherDAM 0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

You are an idiot.

Says the guy who couldn't figure out how to change the title of his post. Nice.

LOL! Just because i did not buy that apple does not mean i do not know how to buy an apple, only that i do not want to. You, sir, go beyond stupid all the way to downright retarded.

[–]AnotherDAM 0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Retarded is bringing up apples when no one was even tangentally talking about apples.

Just remember, projection isn't just the psychological phenomena that you seem to be habitually drawn to ... sometimes it is a booth at the back of a theater.

I'm disliking Peterson more and more.

[–]CumbersomeMushroom 9 points10 points11 points 7 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

please dont fall into moral absolutism. Jordan Peterson says alot of very smart things about things that are important to men. That doesnt mean he never says anything stupid. Just because he is wrong in this case doesnt invalidate his other claims. People should learn to take from people what is smart and ignore what is stupid, instead of walling off a person completely because we dont agree on one thing he might have said. This is what lefties do, dont act like a leftie.

[–]JewishAnomaly 1 point2 points3 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I just said I'm disliking him more and more.

[–]AnotherDAM 0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

And Jordan, unlike so many people, will change his opinion if presented with a rational argument.

I find it hilarious that I get called a hater when I point out something Jordan said that I disagree with (e.g. before he was truly Jordan couldn't give a speech without throwing men under the bus) AND a blind acolyte when I quoted some of his academic findings.

[–]nisutapasion 0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I get where he is coming from but I disagree.

He may be right fundamentally but in practice and in this particular case don't work.

[–]McFeely_Smackup 0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

“And if the Democrats are able to get what they want out of it, whether because Kavanaugh nobly but futilely falls on his own sword, or because the Democrat mob opts to impeach—the equivalent of pulling a fire alarm to shut down a speaker they don’t like — it will open a door we do NOT want opened.”

This is the core of the problem. The democrats created a scenario where Republicans couldn't pass on Kavanaugh without establishing that any candidate could be vetoed by a minority party at will, with a simple unfounded accusation.

The democrats didn't have the votes to accomplish their agenda, so they went for a hail Mary, regardless of the damage they were doing

Let's not become the left, we don't eat our own just because they have one opinion different then ours.

[–]Minimal_minimal 0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

He states: "I believed if confirmed then Kavanaugh would be vindicated and could preserve his reputation (I understand the damage that has been done to him. perhaps better than most) but by withdrawing he could effectively deprive his more radical opponents of their selfrighteous moralism."

Let's not become the left, we don't eat our own just because they have one opinion different then ours. Also Peterson never said what's happening is right. All he is talking about is how to clear one own name.

Can we please stop attacking someone that help us for stating his opinion, even if we don't like it?

Yes, he said a stupid thing, but is his right. Let's not jump on everyone that is not 110% aligned with our views, we become just like SJWs ffs!

I will not gonna attack someone that took so much shit from the liberals and sjws, just because he said something I don't like.

We have so few allies that everyone counts, and even if it seems that the war is over, is just a damn battle won, they will come back with more hate, more vile, more outrageous anti-male shit...

We need him on our side.

[–]nisutapasion 1 point2 points3 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

What he said is not really stupid, it's naive.

He is not completely wrong but he isn't right neither.

JP have expressed many times against the increasing division in USA politics, and rightly so.

It's that for now on all the SC rulings will be under suspicion by half of the population and that is not helpful.

But for BK to step down of the SC just because he was acussed without a shred of evidence will be perceived as an admition of guilt and a victory for the mob.

[–]wodmi72521 0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

  1. He needs us on his side more than we need him on ours.
  2. Is he on our side? It seems to me that he never was. He wants us to give up a very important win in exchange for what? Forthcoming civility from them? That is laughable. They have been, are, and will continue to dismantle the Bill of Rights one piece by one piece and We the People/Trump/Graham/McConnell/etc have pulled out a fucking miracle to stop them. But he wants us to give up our hard fought position in exchange for some ridiculous fantasy that this will end the discord? Really? Somebody who believes that is on my side? I hardly see how.
  3. Why the hell would we want to end the discord? They are trying to strip us of every right that we hold dear as Americans. They are not willing to stop trying to do that. Why the F would any reasoned conservative want to pretend that we are at a tea party? Exactly what would we gain by stopping the discord? There is no middle ground here. There is no cutting the baby in half. They Democrats know it. They are out to win at all costs and by win, I mean take our guns, our freedom of speech, even the simple right to say that a man is not a woman. In California, they just forced women in a battered woman's shelter to shower with a man who still has all his man parts who claimed to identify as female. The women were told that if they refused to shower with him, they would be kicked out from the shelter. Many of them reported that he leered at them in the shower and sexually harrassed them. Do you know what they are doing to our children in public schools now? Do you have any idea how far the Democrats are going to take all this insanity? And somebody who wants us to end the discord is somebody we need on our side? Yeah, we need him on our side like we all need a bullet to the head.

[–]Cristi_Tanase 0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

  1. yes he is on the side of men, even risking his career btw
  2. I don't know what are you talking about

he just suggested that he could resign and Trump could appoint another die hard conservative in his place...

he did not suggested that he should resign and the democrats take over his seat

[–]wodmi72521 0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

It is ludicrous for him to resign and Trump appoint another "die hard conservative". Kavanaugh isn't even that conservative compared to the judges Trump could have picked. I personally wish Trump would have picked somebody farther to the right than Kavanaugh. But it would not be right for that to happen just because a lefty mob has gathered. He certainly cannot resign now as there is a slim chance the Democrats could win the Senate in which case they will not allow Trump to choose a "die hard conservative" or a conservative of any type.

[–]Cristi_Tanase 0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

he has the freedom to have a fucking opinion, and we better not fucking act like triggered sjws/feminists about it!

[–]wodmi72521 0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Sure he does and so do I. I think his opinion is utter shit, which opinion I have a right to have. Why are you acting like a triggered sjw feminist about my opinion?

[–]wodmi72521 0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

The most sensible thing Peterson has said in a long time.

[–]aVeryLonePepe 0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

How so? I don't understand your view point.

[–]nisutapasion 0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

JBP is proposing (wrongly, i believe) a way to reduce the polarization between dems and reps. I feel like he is coming from good intentions and a genuine interest into solving the divisiveness. But it's completely naive from him because the divisiveness was entirely fabricated by the left.

[–]a-man-from-earth 0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Kavanaugh is very divisive, so he is not a good candidate for the Supreme Court. So he should step down and let someone less divisive take the job.

This makes a lot of sense. Unlike most things Peterson says, being the Master of Word Salad.

[–]aVeryLonePepe1 point 7 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Before I say anything, Id like to mention that I am not American, so take everything with a grain of salt and Correct me if I am wrong somewhere.

If he would leave, then Ford will win, and the people that believe her lies will attribute all of it on him feeling guilty that he raped her. And seeing all the support Ford gets from the American left (What I have heard) it really looks like a Left-sponsored plot (My own opinion).

If he would leave, the bad guys (girls?) will win, and that would be bad.

He needs to take point and show everyone that False Accusations are useless in politics.
