Interestingly one of few academic fields dedicated to men and their well-being(Men and Masculinity's) are an offshoot of women's studies which reeks of feminist theories. It applies the same "feminist" framework of the construction of gender.
It really shows how influential feminists have become to the point of contaminating places which are dedicated to men.

i agree heavely with people not giving a fuck about men and mens rights but also have to say that reddit is a shithole, in general, for men and specially for either anti-feminism or mens causes, so while i do think people dont give a shit about men outside, Reddit (or the mods on the subs) is actively against men and out causes.

also you can know that "person" who banned you felt REALLY grown up by telling you that shit, clown world, and i bet my nuts thats a man and a feminist or tradcon at that....

The average person is hostile to men's rights. The very notion of discussing men's issues is offensive to many. None of the data supports their position and yet it doesn't matter to them or anyone.

The good news is that you don't need to save anyone. You don't need to make them understand. Your first responsibility is to yourself and your well being and to that of the people you love.

I firmly believe the MRM has made incredible progress in providing truth, data, and knowledge for those men who were ready to hear it, but because the prevailing society is hostile to the the very idea it's difficult to meet people half way. People are loathe to abandon the prevailing ideas of an era, so people generally aren't ready for a counter-narrative until the brutality of the situation hits home.

I try to talk with my feminist friends about the question of romance and love.

And how both men and women suffer under patriarchy.

On this point, they agree with me.

Men are profiting under patriarchy and therefore don't see much reason to change that system that mostly benefits them.

On this point, men's rights disagrees with me. By saying counter-arguments like patriarchy doesn't exist.

Women don't only suffer under patriarchy, but they also behave in ways that further and stabilise this system that suppresses them.

On this, my feminist circle and men's rights somewhat agree.

women are not powerless and they don't only gain power through men or when behaving like men or when being in a position of power like men.
"the weapons of the woman" do exist. Through the fact that women are desired by men, and that woman can give or withhold their love to men, women have power, men don't have and can't have.

Oh oh! This point did not go well with my feminist circle.

And lastly, while we had a group of feminist men in our midst and the seminar was about awareness of one's own gender, i.e. the male gender, I posed the question: Hey, now that I've got you all men here. How do you think about men's rights? How could we reach men that get impressed by the likes of Andrew Tate?

Oh, that question was washed away: No. We don't want to welcome everyone in our midst. We want to be leftist avant-garde. We don't need them in our group.

And the men's rights movement is captured by the right wing anyways. So they are lost to any leftist ideas.

It saddened me to hear that.

I try my best to keep both channels open.

You are not a lost cause. Feminism is neither your or enemy, nor the end-all-be-all in the question of gender. Feminist men exist. Feminist cis, hetero men exist, so even though I am asexual and genderfluid and thus find myself within the T and A of LGBTQIA, your everyday working class man also can be a feminist.

Men's rights doesn't have to be captured by the right.

Feminism as a word has existed for centuries. It can't go away and be replaced with something else. So men should have no fear to think like a feminist.

Oh and also: It helps to look further than USA and third-wave feminism. I'm from Europe, from Germany. The kind of feminism we as men's rights criticize can maybe be found in the Green party. The Green party is more than happy to send men as soldiers into war. No one in my feminist circle likes the militarist Green party.

We also talked about post-modernism and multiple truths and so on. Post-modernism is pure evil.
