Is it me or is becoming a rape victim a fad? I know this may sound ignorant, but I can't help but to notice the amount of girls that are so open about their rape experience. I feel like their is this movement within feminism to embrace being raped like it's something to be proud of. Not saying that they are proud of being raped but more like they are proud of how strong they are by speaking about it. It's almost like it's a badge of honor being raped. Obviously I'm not saying they should be ashamed for being raped. It's the rape offender who should be ashamed. And I'm not saying that they should keep quiet about their rape. I just find it peculiar that some women are so eager to tell the whole world about their rape. And I think this is why feminists keep expanding the definition of rape, opening the door for more women to become a symbol of strength and courage by becoming a rape victim. Feminists keep talking about rape culture but I think their is a rape victim culture that needs talking about. And It's not just rape, it's becoming a victim of anything related to sexism. I don't know. It's just a thought I had. I'm interested in what you guys have to say about this.
