Do they really do a background check of your comments on other subs and can ban you on this basis? Or simply because you're subscribed to some subreddits you might not even agree with? I genuinely thought they ban people for what they say on each subreddit, even if their reasoning might be flawed or biased (and frequently is). That's absolutely ridiculous. They willingly give themselves more work to do scanning for your comments in other communities, that's bullshit.

I’ve been banned from so many subreddits I stopped caring. None of the bans were legit, either. But this is a good thing. I would rather not converse with people that are so close-minded and cultish.
