Im pro choice too.

What i dont agree with is forceing men to pay child supoort or maientence when he doesnt want a child.

Whats good for the goose is good for the gander type of situation.

Honestly, it doesn't come down to power dynamics for anyone who has a healthy psyche. Women are always going to hace the veto on a pregnancy so long as abortion is legal and they have to carry the foetus to term because it's they who have to take the risks there. That sucks if you want a child and your partner doesn't but it's just the reality of the current state of technology.

Where there can be argued that there is an unfairness is that if the man doesn't want to be a father but the woman does she can use the state to enforce her will, at least from the point of view of financial provision, upon him.

Women are valued for their bodies and men are valued for their skills... it is a fact and i have stated it very bluntly and so it might offend a lot of people.

My view on abortion: 1. Women are free to do whatever they want as far as pregnancy is concerned. Women get to decide whether they want to continue or terminate their pregnancy(Pro Choice). 2. Men should be able to leave without paying money for any issue born as a result of decision of the woman(Financial Abortion).

However as far as your given situation is concerned, men have no choice at present. However, men are known for their skills as i said before. Science will develop machines for giving birth for sure. If men focus more on science and less on relationships, we might see these in near future.

There isn't mutch we can do about it, aside from abstaning from having relationships. Because society is not gonna listen to us. So only thing we can do is avoid relationships, casual sex, and all that comes with it. Show them only indifference. And nothing else

I think it’s a little unfair to act as if an abortion is a 50:50 sort of thing here because it isn’t, or that a guy needs compensation?

The woman is the one who has to actually get the procedure done, or the one who has to deal with the process of a full term pregnancy (hormones, physical and mental health ect)

It’s pretty clear why woman has the ultimate decision, the decision has way more mental and physical baggage than it does for a dude

Says who? Why is a simple slogan like that all the reasoning you need to allow women to kill their own children? A women's right to choose should end exactly at the point where they begin to act detrimental to society as a whole, and normalizing child murder as a form of birth is probably the single greatest sickness in our society.

I don't think this is the main argument people use - not one I have heard! It's more that it is the woman who has to carry the pregnancy and has all the physical consequences so if the couple disagree it makes sense that she has the final say.

So this is not about how woman feel about abortion this is more so about power

Absolutely not. Why add compensation to the man on top of the cost of abortion? I can't see any good reason for financial pressure having any influence on the decision to abort. What positives do you see in this idea?

Woman here. I think the topic of abortion and children should be spoken about within the first few dates to see if both parties are on the same page. For example, I couldn’t date someone who didn’t support abortion and wanted kids because I do support abortion and don’t want kids. Thankfully I found a man who is on the same page.

So if there’s communication in the beginning before the situation you brought up happens, there’s no question of what to do. But honestly, if there’s not and people find themselves in that situation, I don’t think there should be any laws or government interference. It would just be personal choice between those people. They should be able to work it out like adults.

Then I employ all kind of psychological tactics that can discourage abortion. Not to mention, I say that an abortion is an instant and total shut off from my life, no exception.

I am pro life, and abortion should be banned because it allows abuse of men and fetuses.

I’m not religious but on a moral level I can’t agree with abortion I used too be pro choice but when my cousin gave birth I became pro life because of how cute her kid is. When it comes to deciding that the man should definitely be allowed to have a say in it I think it’s sad it’s legal to begin with but at the end of the day no matter what feminists say the child isn’t apart of the woman’s body that child has its own body and it’s dehumanizing too say otherwise.
