On the men's issues, I see conviction rate and sentencing are lumped together. While these are very closely related, I would say that it is two seperate issues.

Being more likely to be declared guilty shows that men are more often not presumed innocent. It shows an inherent guilt tied to our gender. This may tie in closely with men being "hyperagents", where we are held responsible for every single action we do, and often events around us that we did not control.

The extra sentencing time ties in with hyperagency, but I think it also shows that society thinks men need more punishment time in order to "make it stick". Society is fine locking us away for longer.

Women totally have issues too, but very very few legal issues and IDFK how to solve social issues other than making speech of specific kinds illegal and I don't think that is a good idea at all.

I was talking with a guy who was saying that telling a woman "nice tits" was violence. This stuff is what makes it hard to side with the feminists.

I think right now yeah definitely men have it worse, primarily since the focus in resolving issues is almost exclusively on women's issues.

The fat is both have shitty deals in all kinds of areas, but only one gets help, the men have "the whole world as a safe space" so their issues don't matter.

I think you may be misjudging here a key difference between men's issues as women's issues. Men's largest issues tend to be legal issues, women's largest issues tend to be systemic bias in the private sector -- and that of a pernicious and subtle nature. Additionally the smaller injustices done to men tend to be publicly flaunted and socially acceptable, whereas the smaller injustices done to women tend to be publicly shamed and socially reprehensible.

There is a difference in kind and not merely in degree between these things -- between the government making a (entirely legal) judgement against a person based on gender and between a private corporation making a (illegal) judgement against a person based on gender. The solutions to most of the important men's issues could be simply legislated away, not so with women's issues which are already legislated against.

I notice that this list tends to focus on correlations and percentages and the largest part of an issue: "fathers only 18% of custodial parents". This is good, but it may lead to missing that correlation is the result not just of hidden systemic bias, but overt and specific policies. For instance "family court takes retraining orders as evidence, but restraining orders can be given based on scant or no evidence or without hearing from the accused" factors into that correlation. Or in the case of "Individual domestic violence cases against men are often either not taken as seriously, or are ridiculed." this is entirely sufficient as a summary, but doesn't note that this seems to have been policy for DV hotlines who would send victims to batterer's services or that mandatory arrest policies can easily result in the arrest of male DV victims who defend themselves, but not female ones.

You did a great job with these lists. I just skimmed the women's issues, and I learned a few things that I wasn't aware of.

The one thing that immediately jumped out at me is bullet 7a. Female sexuality is demonized and male sexuality is prized in more traditional culture, but I'd say the opposite is true in our progressive climate. Both sexes have experience with systematic sexual shaming, so I wouldn't write that off as something which only affects one group.

Women are a lower priority for medical research

A considerable “motherhood penalty” exists professionally.

It is legally considered indecent exposure for a woman to show her nipples in public

As patients, women are taken less seriously by medical professionals

Actually just go ahead and say all of them are false. What did you just believe any crap feminists typed out without any checking?

Women are a lower priority for medical research, within many aspects of the research body. In medicine, early phase clinical trials have a gender-inclusion disparity at the disadvantage of women. This is not true of later stage trials, and there is a department of the FDA dedicated to correcting this issue.

This is to protect women from the dangers of early trials. This is not a female disadvantage, this is another aspect of male disposability.

If you're serious about this then I expect the rest of the list is just more male victim blaming. But I've seen enough.
