Hey guys, men's rights supporter here. Issues like homelessness, suicide, jail, and child custody truly are things that affect men more than women and should not be brushed aside. I'd love to see the ideas in this sub spread more widely accepted and not viewed simply as a bunch of fringe sexist, misogynists that hate women.

The use of the word "cunts" in this sub to describe women has go to stop. This day and age, it's nearly analogous to calling someone a n----r or a fa---t. And it's extremely disrespectful to women. The point of this sub is not to degrade women, but is instead to draw attention to areas of society where men are mistreated or are disproportionally affected.

For example, last week I saw this thread and video in the sub, and the video was really interesting and I would have liked to share it with people. https://www.reddit.com/r/MensRights/comments/3erj1p/women_cuts_off_husbands_penis_because_he_wants_a/

It's also one of the top rated links of all time in this sub. Yet the video starts with calling women "cunts". Then nearly every top voted reply in the thread is just someone calling the women in the video cunts.

The media, society, etc. will never take /r/mensrights serious if we insist on casually calling every woman we disagree with a cunt.

I don't propose a ban on people here using the word altogether because censorship is wrong, but we should at least, as a community, have a discussion about the word and whether we want to continue upvoting people that use it. I, for one, will never publicly admit to being a subscriber to /r/mensrights as long as this sub is filled with people making this community look like idiots by calling women cunts.
