This is a common feminist argument, but I also see it from people who do not reject men's rights: "but, Saudi Arabia/India/Afganistan/Japan/etc."

I generally ask them not to derail, but it would be nice to know more about gender around the world, especially as the countries I do know about rarely fit the stereotypes presented:

Japanese business is dominated by men, but they don't receive a pay check, their wives do!

Men have way more freedom in Afganistan, the freedom of danger and duty to women!

Women get raped all the time in India, but if a man is raped, he wasn't raped, because he's not a woman (real rape culture)!

Dubai punishes women for being raped, but the UAE Constitution mandates equal treatment, so men would be as well; plus they use female quotas, and there are 3,000,000 male slaves!

They use gender eugenics in China to have boys, but we (America) use gender eugenics to have girls!

Is there a collection of such information somewhere, or does anyone else have any examples of stereotypically "misogynist cultures" where men suffer as much or more than women?
