At work earlier I was helping out with my usual routine and a female co-worker of mine kept calling me names like "love" and hun." I didn't say anything to avoid any trouble because you know in today's climate what a Pandora's Box that can open up for you, but I'm reminded of the annoying double standard with how women can get away with calling guys cutesy names or even slightly suggestive names like "baby" or "doll" (both of which I've been called and hate it), but yet a man calling a woman names like this would immediately be accused of sexual harassment. I hate it. I only ever want to be called by one name and that's my birth name, and out of courtesy I don't go around calling people cutesy names. But the society we live in it's apparently okay for women to call men these sorts of names but the other way around it'd be deemed as harassment. Another stupid double standard among many others that should change.
