Interesting.

It seems that only women are attacked, sexually assaulted and raped, and only men perpetrate, and as such it requires our undivided attention, and of course guilt for being born male.

I was shocked to hear that the new ~~rape~~ sexual assault statistic had been updated to 1 out of 1 women. Then I remembered that I don't know of any men who've ever sexually assaulted a woman, and therefore male on female sexual assault doesn't exist.

So this is a really good summary of why the #notallmen stuff is so frustrating. Basically people know that not all men are rapists or jerks, but lots of women have experienced rape or sexual harassment. A way more helpful conversation would be to just acknowledge that, and then also talk about the harassment and assault that men experience.

If you get into a shouting match about #NOTALLMEN #YESALLWOMEN you completely forget to talk about male victims of assault and how we can work to help them.

What does "sexually harrased" mean? If I try to pick up a girl in a bar when she is not into it, is it harrassment? Stare at her drunkenly? Touch her arm? Butt? If I was tall and handsome, would it still be harrassment?
