Porn in itself isn't an issue, exploitation can happen everywhere where people can profit from it. If men overspend or become addicted, that's a mental health issue with a root cause nobody's addressing because it's easier to just shout "porn did it." The same thing happens with drugs, only very recently started people in a few places acknowledging that it's not "evil drugs", it's people exploiting vulnerable people, from drug lords flooding the streets with more and more dangerous synthetic substances in impoverished places to pharmaceutical companies lobbying certified doctors to prescribe addictive and expensive medicine without sufficient justification. All comes down to influential people profiting off of vulnerable people. As long as nobody's able or willing to treat the cause of a problem, it won't go away. Porn can and is enjoyed by a lot of healthy people, single people alone or couples together, with no adverse effects on them and their lives, porn can also be made without exploitation on either end provided that local laws and regulations allow for it instead of pushing it into the shadows.

It's not porn, as always, it's people.

The issue isn't really about porn or exploitation, but about the fact that "civilisation" still doesn't recognise the male need for biological sexual expression and its facilitation: instead various elements exploit regulating supply to meet other agenda (profit, personal benefit, unrealistic expectations, etc) to the detriment of men.

If women were not so selective over men and wanted as much sex as men, men would not need to resort to porn or prostitution. Porn and prostitution are an inadequate response to lack of supply for a fundamental need.

I don't think it is about men having unrealistic expectations, but women having unrealistic expectations and resulting in men engaging more in fantasy to help fill that need.

Men need to start thinking outside the box to increase supply of what they fundamentally require and it isn't necessarily compliant women.

I think that people talk about human trafficking when saying that it exploits women.

But it also exploits lonely men or men with low self esteem that get addicted at looking at porn. This is also an issue with prostitutions and strip clubs that offers those men a false sense of intimacy and care for their money.

I don't think most men have unrealistic expectations. Most don't even have a list of things they want in a girl, rather they have a short list of things they don't want in one. In my case it's just 4 things, don't be fat, don't be ugly, don't be a b*tch, and put effort into dating.

Porn doesn't exploit women, that's evident from how many have signed up for onlyfans. Most men do not pay for it either. It's a small minority which does.

I've used webcams before. And then I checked my bank account, never realised I had much of an issue, but I have seen that I have spent about 5% of my income on webcams. That's huge. That's over half a month's pay in 1 year.

No, it doesn't. There is no evidence men's expectations of women are harsh, at all. It is more commonly women's expectations that are found to be unrealistic, particularly on dating websites where women are much less likely to swipe on men, let alone superlike male profiles. While most men would love to sleep with a supermodel, they are fully aware they can't as most men don't have a pool of women constantly messaging them, telling them how hot they are and how they wanna sleep with them, give them flowers, money, pay for their drinks, and so on. So most men are probably very humble and or aware of the reality of the dating world & especially of the fact most women are not porn stars.
