Within the next five years. The genie's out of the bottle.

Feminists are currently in the bargaining stage: "we don't hate men and boys, we actually want to help them!" (overcome their toxic masculinity).

As that link demonstrates, males fare significantly worse on most quality of life indicators (including the act of staying alive in the first place). This is true globally.

In the West, females have more rights than males, and in fact almost all gender based discrimination is targeted at males. Even the stuff that feminists complain about -- "rape culture," reproductive rights (men have none), harmful media portrayals etc. apply more to males than females.

In patriarchies the advantages and disadvantages are fairly equally distributed between the sexes. After a hundred years of feminists focussing on only one gender (we're down to "micro-aggressions" at this point) the situation has become incredibly lopsided, so lopsided in fact that the entire structure is in danger of becoming unstable.

It is possible that men's rights will continue to be ignored indefinitely, and that the feminist movement will become increasingly tyrannical. This will only make the system more unstable and increase the severity of the blowback when it comes. Men's Rights is the peaceful, fair way forward; the alternative will be some sort of super-matriarchy followed by a super-patriarchy.

I don’t think it’s happening in the next 5 years. We are in a culture hard Cold War. Trump delayed the inevitable. Pray once he’s gone we get another republican gov. The alternative is unending tyranny.

[–]EasternChildhood 1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Republicans don't do jack shit for men's rights. They don't even have the balls to stand up to feminists.

[–]SnugglesMcFluffkin 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Betsy DeVos would beg to differ

[–]EasternChildhood 1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Credit where it's due: Betsy DeVos did the right thing and her repeal of "dear colleague" must have produced a massive sigh of relief among male college students.

But let's be honest here: that was a stop gap against one deranged (albeit significant) feminist policy.

The other ten thousand deranged feminist policies remain in place -- often with the complicity of Republicans. To cite one example, Florida Governor Rick Scott nixed shared parenting legislation after NOW lobbied his sorry ass.

Both the D and R parties are miserable on men's rights. It's actually a huge untapped "market." If the right (or the left, for that matter) started supporting men's rights they would probably receive a huge boost in voters. Mike Buchanan in the UK tried to create a "men's rights" party but very few people are willing to vote for what they regard as fringe parties, assuming they are even aware of them (the new UK feminist party also failed miserably). Mark my words: if a relatively mainstream political party in a Western country seeks to truly combat misandry they will triumph.

hopefully, super-patriarchy happens, and hopefully it will be not recoverable for feminists.

I think it's already starting to happen now- conversations I overhear, general comments I see on default subreddits and the internet as a whole, people generally becoming aware of that something is wrong with the SJW movement. I just think we need one spark to push us into the next level.

[–]CountVonVague 2 points3 points4 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

people generally becoming aware of that something is wrong with the SJW movement.

If the points of "All X people are Y" and "Z is a social construct" keep being pushed into the public consciousness there's bound to be even greater backlash, only a matter of time. Normal people don't like in a world of rhetorical power plays at who is and isn't cool in any given moment like marxist socjus does so that mentality simply can never safely get off the group here.

I've heard the same thing since the nineties. Most people talk about how ridiculous pc culture is, how sexist and discriminatory feminism is, how important free speech is. It's what most people think and feel. But all the same we've had a steady creep towards pc fascism. I don't think that creepy is at a stop or a slow down or even a letting off of the throttle.

Not until men themselves recognise that white knighting doesn't get them pussy and supporting women over their own interests hurts their own well being.

Circumicison is comming around RIGHT NOW. so that is great!

[–]CountVonVague 1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

We are close, but i'm wondering how loud the pro-cutting crowd is going to make themselves in the USA

[–]PowerToAnnihilate 2 points3 points4 points 8 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

I don't think they will be nearly as bad as relegous nuts. In the US circumcision is something very few actually feel strongly for (I'm cut because my parent's doctor was a cunt who gave them the paperwork right after my birth along with stuff for my oxygen)

[–]CountVonVague 2 points3 points4 points 8 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Idk, circumcision might be less popular but we're probably going to have some serious problems with the jewish communities over the issue since they do love to preserve their religious practices against public condemnation. It won't be a hard fight to win but getting it onto the table in the first place is tough.

[–]PowerToAnnihilate 2 points3 points4 points 8 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

They tried to do it in 2012 in SanFran. What we need is to get the right wing and left wing on the same side of this issue. Then it will just pass. For whatever reason a lot on the right thought the ban was silly (likely because they themselves are religious)

[–]CountVonVague 1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Wow even uber-progressive san fran wasn't able to pass that?

Just push on both groups that there's no valid scientific reason to do this and it violates human rights and the dignities of infants on terrible levels. Shove in their faces how big the double standard is in how we protect young girls but willfully subject young boys to cruel, theological practices best relegated to the past.

[–]PowerToAnnihilate 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

The problem with progressives is that their attitude is "why help men, they get enough help cause male privilege."

[–]motorscuz 1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I don't see it happening ever. It will just turn into more victimization.
Look at the earnings gap. First it was a wage gap, which got proven that it wasn't sexism. Then the hourly wage gap belief which got proven to be false. Now its called an earnings gap.
Look at James Damore. Its okay to mock his beliefs, publicly shame men and all the other things listed in his lawsuit, yet he sent an email commenting on women and their biological propensity for the tech field and he gets fired.

quillette.com/2018/02/01/lawsuit-exposes-internet-giants-internal-culture-intolerance/

Then there were that time a legislator tried to put forward a bill about mens rights and treatment in court battles with their spouses. The women all booed and walked out the door, killing the bill.

Mens rights are not going to be recognized for a long, long time. I don't believe it will ever really be addressed in my lifetime.

It already has and it’s getting better

[–]Halafax 1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

As long as society is served by devaluing the people that maintain it... Never.

It's not malice, it's just economics. Get a guy to take a dangerous job for a couple extra dollars so he can try to attract a mate. Use pride to convince him to keep his mouth shut when his issues are getting ignored. Brutalize him if he complains about the lopsided legal system, make sure you throw in some prison rape jokes. Make him pay for useless people, so the system doesn't have to.

Society isn't ignoring us for kicks. They are standing on top of us, and they don't want us getting uppity and upsetting their perch.

[–]Kanonizator 1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Probably never. It's in our evolutionary programming to pander to women and to view men with suspicion, especially those who complain about their hardships. Most people are driven by their feelings wrt subjects like this, and 'feeling' is more or less just a code word for an emotional driving force coming from our subconscious that we do not consciously understand - ie. evolutionary programming. This is why feminists have it so easy and MRAs have it so tough. When women complain men and women alike feel motivated to help them, but when men complain people view them as losers who deserve no help whatsoever.

There's another problem as well, namely that western media and education systems are mostly in the hands of those who use feminism as a tool to achieve their goals - good luck getting fair representation for men's problems on the BBC, on CNN, or at unis like Harvard, etc. Our cultures are lost to us until we reverse the progressives' long march through the institutions and get rid of their poisonous influence.

When men become the top of the victim ladder aka: never

[–]BlackHole94 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It already has.

[–]Drezzzire 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I don’t foresee it happening anytime soon.

Not unless feminists get targeted by some biological weapon or some shit.
