"#MeToo is over if we don’t listen to ‘imperfect victims’ like Amber Heard"; Gross article denies Men can be victims of abuse & encourages people to never believe Men. Individuals such as this are why so many Men feel uncomfortable about opening up or seeking support.

This discrimination against white men became apparent to me back when gamergate happened. It's widened out more and more over time so more and more people are noticing it now. But a lot of the hostility against white men during gamergate was coming from young feminists in college or ones that recently left college so it was apparent there were bad things happening in schools.

Not just white men dude. They were fucking with black men too. I was one of them. I disagreed with them on issues and they fucked with me too.

Not surprising, that is exactly their plan after all.

well no shit.. if every other class, race and gender is being incentivised to attend via scholarships and quotas and 'diversity plans' then it's only logical that the group which nothing exists for will fall behind. Ironic because in the interest of correcting 'equality' or promote it.. it's been done by doing the exact thing they campaign about - inequality. I don't blame them too (privileged white working class boys).. who wants to go somewhere for 4 years and be shamed or told everyday how privileged you are and how you are this or that etc. Apart from feeling uncomfortable and it being not a 'nice experience'.. you will also harbour negative feelings and emotions about yourself and your future mindset/attitude towards the world so the wisest move is to seek acceptance elsewhere, where you aren't pigeon holed into being the bad guy because of your skin, upbringing and sex. Where you are just like everybody else and treated the same. Most guys on campus... if they are smart.. are practically mutes in discussions, activities, campus events, etc. The smartest move is to just 'fly under the radar' and get your degree and get out ASAP because it doesn't matter what discussion/argument you are having.. you will be met with ''well your white and a man and had a decent upbringing so your opinion (even if it's factual) is irrelevant''. They have no voice out of fear of judgement on things they cannot change, even if those things are seen to be 'good' or 'privileged'. It's not about the discussion/argument. It's identity politics.

I'm an artist who looks into art contests, submissions to galleries, artist residencies, art foundation programs, and the like. Virtually all of them at this point openly state that they are only looking for women and minorities who are inserting political statements into their art that clearly state positions of "diversity". Perusing these artworks is quite incredible. Almost zero craftsmanship can be seen in any of them. It's mind boggling. Talented artists of all backgrounds and genders are pretty much shut out of the upper crust art establishment .

You can look at art groups on Facebook and find many thousands of incredibly talented artists, of all kinds, in all media types. You won't see them in 95% of galleries, museums, or the established art press. Weird stuff.

10% of black boys can read at grade level

Yes, every other 'race'. You see, facts are stubborn things, and when you make feministesque screeds that deny reality, I get to call you delusional and demand you turn in your balls until you get a grip on your emotions.

lol what does the stat have to do with anything?

Since you didn't grasp it, OP was about a certain demographic falling further behind in education. Then what I did, was offer an opinion about the topic as to why this occurs.

Not once did I assert underprivleged demographics shouldn't be incentivised. I am saying they should... but the result is that you obviously leave behind the other groups that aren't incentivised and I give my reasons as to why or how this happens. You do know you can state what is occurring and why, without also arguing whether it should or should not. I did the former. How would you explain it in terms of why or how this is occurring?

If you are to ask whether low socio-economic black children should receive incentives like scholarships or lower entry scores to certain degrees or whatever else - I would agree that they should. That's not the argument or topic however.

To Christina Sommers it was obvious things were going this way 2 decades ago, when she wrote: The War Against Boys

Read this, written 20 years ago:

For many years** women's groups have complained that boys benefit from a school system that favors them and is biased against girls. "Schools shortchange girls," declares the American Association of University Women.** Girls are "undergoing a kind of psychological foot-binding," two prominent educational psychologists say. A stream of books and pamphlets cite research showing not only that boys are classroom favorites but also that they are given to schoolyard violence and sexual harassment.

The idea that schools and society grind girls down has given rise to an array of laws and policies intended to curtail the advantage boys have and to redress the harm done to girls. That girls are treated as the second sex in school and consequently suffer, that boys are accorded privileges and consequently benefit—these are things everyone is presumed to know. But they are not true.

The research commonly cited to support claims of male privilege and male sinfulness is riddled with errors. Almost none of it has been published in peer-reviewed professional journals. Some of the data turn out to be mysteriously missing. A review of the facts shows boys, not girls, on the weak side of an education gender gap. The typical boy is a year and a half behind the typical girl in reading and writing; he is less committed to school and less likely to go to college. In 1997 college full-time enrollments were 45 percent male and 55 percent female. The Department of Education predicts that the proportion of boys in college classes will continue to shrink.

I learned everything I need to know by the time I finished my associates in business. I don't need to go into life crushing debt getting a 4 year degree at some state university.

Given that "men's rights" is heavily unpopular with voters and the general public alike, this raises questions as to why we persist in even using that term. Or why we're still trying to persuade everyday people whom we share the planet with to come around to our side, by walking up to them and saying "How 'bout men's issues?", when we know that this is just going to get doors slammed in our faces

It may just be more effective for us to start instead opening conversations with non-MRA constituents by first discussing things crime and poverty. Through there, we can get to subjects like teaching school kids to read via phonics rather than whole word(this is of particular importance to kids from working poor homes, especially boys)and providing greater access to vocational training than currently exists now

What MRAs themselves often omit, when they start groaning over men being under-represented on university campuses..... Most people of both genders have little to no secondary education, and the vast majority of them have no desire to attend a four year university. We'll get a much stronger ROI from increasing access to the skilled trades. A side effect of providing more people with pathways to upward mobility would be drastic reduction in ills like mental illness, suicide, contact with the criminal justice system, homelessness, fathering kids out of wedlock, and premature death, all of which overwhelmingly affect men. We can secure practical reforms like this, without ever having to use the term "men's rights" or to even frame them as men's issues

It’s understandable, the white people in America are the minority now. They can now feel what we have been feeling for the pass 2 centuries. You can call me a racist but it’s obvious that white birth rate are extremely low so I makes sense that the Supreme Court over ran roe vs wade to pump more units out aka white babies. I’m a humanist and I hate the fact that they’re taking about “ white “ people like wtf. Wut about Mexican and blacks? We were never privileged to start with. This is a male issue NOT white, America is a giant smelting pot of race, culture and religion which conservative politicians hate the most. I have one question to white people, feel oppressed yet? All jokes aside men have been carving the earth’s surface since the beginning of time in order to make it inhabitable and we have been put on the back burner.

Urban youth always had more access to educational materials and opportunities than rural or suburban youth. Zero Chicago or NYC youth were denied access to anything in 150 years. They were always in educational paradise. Some people still claim that urban youth are prevented from accessing such things. It's laughable. NYC has 94 branches of public libraries, with dozens of programs firehosing every type of education assistance any urban youth could dream of. It has the best public education system in the world. If you try. If you don't try, you get to be in the remedial dipshit loser schools within the system, while Asians who just learned English 3 years ago get to go to the good schools .
