Sounds to me like an Anita Sarkeesian situation to me. She conducts a study with the most click bait sounding premise that baaaaaasically reduces the value of men to a matter of inches (as if we weren't already on the daily), then acts surprised when she gets backlash.

Really? I would absolutely expect backlash if I solicited nudes from women.

Edit: So this lady's also an author. Shes got a book out there called The Secret Life of the Cheating Wife: Power, Pragmatism, and Pleasure in Women's Infidelity. I have a hard time believing the woman who's conducting "Send me dick pics" study is as sympathetic as she sounds.

Edit 2: So I'm editing this as I go along and I read her Feminist Reflections (of course they're involved) article. Clearly she seemed to have academic endeavors. However, I believe that if she were to have just approached the topic in a more understanding way she would not have gotten the backlash that she did. Men suffer from body issues just like women do. However, there are important differences. In this case, it's difficult for men to assess where they really stand in the "size" stakes. That has serious psychological ramifications for many.

Request: Some years ago I came across a website that was dedicated to serious non-pornographic study of the varieties of penis shape and size. It had dozens, if not hundreds of black and white photos showing an amazing variety of penises in profile.

Unfortunately, I've lost track of it. That site would be an invaluable resource to men who are insecure about their penis. Can anyone find it, please?

Alicia Walker, an assistant professor of sociology at Missouri State University, cancelled a study which sought images of more than 3,600 penises.

She said the “the public reaction to the project” meant “the reliability of the study as a whole has been compromised”.
